In reply to: [BulletProof Security] How to block Bonus Custom CodeEven though I appreciate this shared code and use it to set up client sites, I’d also like to see an option to dismiss this code, mostly because it shows up for all users. Not all users are comfortable working with security. If there are 5 users, each user has to dismiss it individually.
It would be better if it would dismiss for all users – or alternatively have a “dismiss all notices” button for users so each user doesn’t have to dismiss 7, 8, 9, 20 (whatever!) additional notices you decide to share.
Thanks for listening! ??

In reply to: [Constant Contact Form by ContactUs.com] Fatal Error – can't activate pluginI’m getting the same when trying to activate the plugin. I guess if this isn’t an actively supported plugin, I’ll just look for a different plugin.
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

In reply to: HTML Comment destroys formattingEharris – is this something that is being worked on? Did you see this in another thread? Please share, thanks!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: HTML Comment destroys formattingI’m with eharris. In my post text, WordPress opens the comment, but replaces the double dash with an en dash. Is there a fix to this? This is very frustrating.
<!– this is a comment. Let’s see if it closes –> <– it screws this side up.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] Will this work with 2.6?I have the same problem, but I hadn’t even upgraded. I was still on 2.5.1 and found that it just zeroed out. Not that I could sign in to see the stats from my dashboard… I upgraded thinking maybe it would fix the problem, but alas, it has not. I’d be interested to see this work again, as I liked it!

In reply to: remove wordpress.com account from the stats???I would also appreciate a way to “manage” domains that I’m running stats on. Some I would like to drop and not follow any more. Can this be done?

In reply to: Can’t upload images at all?ijohnw, I have not heard or read of a fix as of yet. From the link to the video demonstration, I can see that is where the links should be. I have found that the code does exist in the page:
<div id="media-buttons" class="hide-if-no-js"> Add media: <a href="media-upload.php?post_id=52&type=image&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=640" class="thickbox" title='Add an Image'><img src='images/media-button-image.gif' alt='Add an Image' /></a> <a href="media-upload.php?post_id=52&type=video&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=640" class="thickbox" title='Add Video'><img src='images/media-button-video.gif' alt='Add Video' /></a> <a href="media-upload.php?post_id=52&type=audio&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=640" class="thickbox" title='Add Audio'><img src='images/media-button-music.gif' alt='Add Audio' /></a> <a href="media-upload.php?post_id=52&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=640" class="thickbox" title='Add Media'><img src='images/media-button-other.gif' alt='Add Media' /></a>
I don’t believe I have a problem with javascript, as it is not showing up on any browsers I have access to:
- Mac: Firefox or Safari
- Windows: Explorer 7
(Just from the class title, it is pointing for me to look in the “javascript” direction…)
Ooo, I do see hack potential until this is fixed. I will look at the code from the particular edit post/page (to get the correct post/page number) and then paste this after my “www.myaddress.com/wp-admin/”
media-upload.php?post_id=52&type=image&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=640
It appears to work… as a bandaid! (This all wouldn’t hurt so much if my AwsomPixGalleries didn’t break on this upgrade too!)
Let me know if you hear of anything. I’ll certainly do the same!

In reply to: Can’t upload images at all?I have uploaded an image to my website (via ftp) to show where the “Add Media” is missing on my dashboard, if it is of any help to try and solve this problem.
Thanks everyone for reading & helping.

In reply to: Can’t upload images at all?Yea, thanks Lost ??
I didn’t see a post that directly related to my issue. If you saw one, please feel free to point me in that direction and I’ll just watch it (hopefully) get solved.
I watched this 4 minute screencast, and notice now where the buttons for “Add Media” should be. (I can see the links at 1:33 in the movie. There’s pictures/sound and a couple other that I don’t recognize what they are.) They do not show up on my admin pages.
