Okay, when I use the “Ascending” it then sorts all my events from the “1st start date” (which is back in 2011). What I am trying to do, is have it sort by the next “Upcoming Event”, which should be June 7 https://sqlsolutionsgroupcom.ipage.com/home/events/sqlsaturday-294-philadelphia-jason-brimhall-wayne-sheffield/

But instead, the July event is the one at the top of the list.

This is for the main events listing. I saw in previous post, the default sorting should be: upcoming, however, as you see on this page, it is displaying/sorting by the latest month (July).

I’ve reviewed the “Pages” and “Formatting” settings and can’t seem to figure it out.

@phillipjohn and @caimin_nwl, if I am understanding this thread correctly, the default setting to display/list events “should” start with the next upcoming event? And not the latest scheduled event?

The reason I am asking, is a page I created, I have been trying to figure out a way to just show the next event (using the default settings).

It is displaying the July first, when I think it should be showing the next upcoming event in June.

Fixed my own issue. Looks like there is a conflict between the “theme” and the “plugin”. I tested the plugin with a different theme and it worked. So I looked at ever “theme” setting that could affect this plugin (specifically with the Google Map). Found a setting in the “Extra” section (under the Theme Options; under “Options for Javascript within the theme), there is a checkbox “Disable Google Map Scripts”. It was unchecked, so I checked and IT WORKED.
