go to wp-pdf, login to your account then go to downloads, it gives you the option to download previous versions. I think it’s 5.0.2 the one you want. They are aware of the conflict and will be issuing an update they said

Are you using WP PDF embedder? That was it. Rolled it back to 5.0.

I’m still not figured out why deactivating the plugins in the first place didn’t reveal this problem as a plug-in problem. I guess it must have been the cache, even though I had cleared it before and after the deactivation.

That is very true. However, having disabled every plugin and using the default 2023 theme didn’t solve the problem, nor did Safe mode (which disables plugins, custom code, and child themes). and neither of those solved the issue. So what would you suggest is left?

I have found discussion of this problem in the past with a few fixes, but none have worked for me. And no one ever really said what was causing it in the first place. But I am a little surprised I’m not seeing more people with this same issue; my installations and plugins are pretty plain vanilla for Divi sites.

Well, no. As I mentioned above, I had not changed anything at all when this appeared. In fact, I was away on vacation, came back and was checking sites and found this pretty well by accident. I do not run BuddyPress.

To your other points, as I mentioned eariler to Lisa, I have tried deactivating all the plugins; I have tried Divi safemode; I tried php code snippet; I tried a plugin, and I changed to the default (2023) theme. Just two sites (of 16) are doing this. One is on Dreampress, the other is on inMotion. Of all my sites, there is one site out there on Bluehost, and the rest are on Dreampress. Yet, only these two sites are having this problem. So these things together rule out plugins, theme, and hosting environment. It really has to be some issue in WordPress.

Yes, I went to the Divi community first. I received the same suggesitons as here. Divi support blames WordPress (but they always blame caching or someone else and then suddenly release an update that magically fixes all the stuff that wasn’t their fault…but I digress).

I ran the sites in safe mode, no change. I switched to the 2023 Theme, no change. The bar also appears at https://www.whitinsvillechristian.org/

But none of my other sites.

I should also mention that one site is on Dreampress and the other is inMotion, so it’s not the hosting, either.

Nevermind, turned off JS minimisation and problem solved

Don’t hold your breath. I actually stumbled on your comment while searching how to cancel my subscription to SNAP. I have a 3 month old ticket in my queue they never responded to about Facebook continuously resetting, trouble with LinkedIn, and why the AutoPoster never works. I’ve used this for 4 years now, and it has gone downhill quickly and dramatically. If/when they do finally respond to support, it will be either “clear your cache and tell us if that helps” and then they will never respond or follow up. Else it will be be some BS about how it’s not their fault, it’s the platform changing their APIs (which is, of course, precisely what I am paying a plugin developer to deal with so I don’t have to). Cut your losses now and find a different solution. You may pay more elsewhere, but you’ll save time, money and headaches in the long run.

Thanks, but the 5.0 troubleshooting post was the first thing I looked at.

THANK YOU Lisa, you nailed it. Deleted it,got prompted to update DB again, did so, and I can get into the back end now. Front page is still messed up but that has to be a theme issue now. But at least I can access admin. Thanks!

Yeah I looked all over, I could not find an option to completely delete the review. I totally apologize, I was actually looking at your plugin as an option and typed that review into the wrong browser window. :-/ If you know how to delete I will gladly do that. Thx for your understanding.

For me, I make sure my image size is between 300×200 and 400×300. Seems to do the trick

Well, Ok. Guess I’m glad we won’t be doing business. Doesn’t seem we’d get along very well. Glad the plugin works for others. Best of luck.

Um, yeah. I know. Considering I use Divi with Divi Builder, and that’s a pretty widely used theme (and Elegant is a popular theme family), the incompatibility was surprising. I can’t think of ever having plugin incompatibility with Elegant Themes before. But there are dozens of other slicky widget plugins that do work, so I am not losing sleep over this one not working, for sure.

Well, from that page, it appears it is set up OK, but it is a bit beyond my scope. I can say I have used SNAP for quite a while, and this is a new problem dating back just a couple weeks. I havee not received any modification notices from Bluehost, which I do whenever they make changes that could affect my installations.

I would also add that the problem is sporadic. Some days it all works fine, other days posts are missed. However the past 5 days it has become like 1 of every 3 posts as opposed to 1 of every 8 or 10 before this week.

No, it did’t work. In fact, when I added the code, the report now comes up entirely blank.
