Now I was able to get debugger to work on a post, I did not receive any errors. Everything looked fine, in fact. Pulled the correct image. Had the correct description, etc. Fetched the proper URL….

I did deactivate all other plugins. I also deactivated, and reactivated, JetPack, and I still cannot connect to Facebook using Publicize. When I use the Facebook link I get error Error code: -32301. If I use the Connect button to the right of the Facebook logo I get error code: Error code -32300.

The same thing happened when I tried to connect with Path and LinkedIn, but Tumblr works…?

When I manually use the Sharing button on each post, I can post to Facebook, but only the url, no picture or title are being posted, although when I ran the FB debugger it showed no problems with those.

What is incredibly frustrating is this is an exact repeat of what I went though last fall. Publicize all worked like clockwork, then I noticed a couple errors, then there was a complete JetPack failure. I was given all these workarounds, and codes to screw with and whatnot and none of it worked. It suddenly started working correctly again one day. Update or something? I don’t recall.

What I can tell you is this worked fine as of Feb. 6, and as I shared in the link above, started with errors, now it completely does not work. There have been no updates or changes to our site admin in that time. Nothing.

Interesting, thanks. I did try the debugger, but I got an error, too, saying the URL wasn’t there or something like that. I don’t think I have anything redirecting, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I’ll do more digging.

Yes same thing here. Oddly, I found that going into settings and changing the icon set from “Incredible” to “Default” or “Generic” solved the problem. I switched back to “Incredible” and the problem returned. So, there is a workaround at least in my case.

Sorry, pertaining to the above, the link to the error image is

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/cbi2psuumks0bk1/updraft%20error.PNG

The site in question is currently on a localhost using xampp. Would that make a difference?

I have no idea whether it’s the widget or the source, but I can tell you what is happening. When the weather updates every hour or so (the default), it is pulling the current temp at my location, and it is pulling the HOURLY forecast temp for the next 3 days (or however many days you have set in the options). So at noon, my widget shows it is 65 F, and the forecast id H 67 L 47 today, Weds 68 Thurs 65 etc. Well when I check again at 3pm. it shows current temp at 57F, forecast for Wed 60F, Thurs 50F etc. These correspond almost exactly to the hourly forecast temps on other major weather services, but not the daily highs and lows.

Thanks Barry and Ash, you guys seem to have identified the thingamabob that is conflicting with the whatsit ?? Hopefully it dies result in a smooth resolution, these are both such good plugins I really want them to work together properly.

Glad this has been identified and a solution looks to be on the horizon. I (and I am sure other users) appreciate the attention to this in such a timely way.

I had this problem, managed to fix it, now with the jetpack update I just installed Wednesday, the problem has returned. The wrong image is being sent to FB, even though I have a featured image set, and the image size is 200×200 minimum (most of the time I do 225×300 – learned this was the cause of the previous problem of wrong images going to Facebook). I see no obvious reason why this is suddenly happening again. I have not made another changes or updates to WP, FB or any plugins.

I am 100% positive the problem surfaced after I did the JetPack update though…everything was working like clockwork until Wednesday morning after the update.

I would also note that when I go to the post on FB and use the Facebook share button from the post, the image works fine and appears correctly on FB unlike the last time I had this problem.

Thanks. I only have Ad King, Events Calendar, and JetPack running as plugins. I really don’t know why the two plugins don’t play nice together, but they don’t. I gave them the same feedback, so we’ll see if anything comes of it.

Events calendar actually works fine if I deactivate Ad King, enter events, then reactivate Ad King. Nothing gets messed up after I reactivate all the plugins, and everything on the site works fine. It’s an extra step, but hardly the most cumbersome workaround I’ve ever encountered!

    (@jefflabonte)

You are correct. There is an apparent conflict with Ad King Pro. When I deactivate that plugin, everything with Events Calendar works fine.

    Thanks.

Yes, it works for adverts fine. Show up beneath the schedule function in posts (maybe pages, didn’t check). I kind of figured it was not an intended feature, as it wasn’t mentioned anywhere, but sure would be a nice add-on. Thanks for the reply and for the plug-in!

Sorry, I deleted and recreated the event, so the links above are no longer active…

    A bit more info:

    1) When I went back and edited a previous event and saved it to see what would happen, the date was not altered. So this seems specific to entering new events and began within the past 24 hours (on my site anyway).

    2) After using the drop down calendar to select the date, I manually clicked each date and switched the day an month. I.e., the drop down resulted in “21-9-2013” I changed it to 9-21-13 and the event posted correctly.

The entry form does not allow you to click and simply enter the date from the start, so this requires manually clicking and editing each start and end date. Very tedious.

However, using the manual entry approach DOES work, so there is something funky going on with the date selector.

Here’s a valid link showing the problem https://auburnmassdaily.com/event/girls-jv-soccer/

Thanks Richard I will, but I am realizing that it may have something to do with the 200×200 size images. Mine are, but I went back and bumped them up after reading this restriction in the documentation. It appears new images I am uploading and keeping above the 200×200 are working fine. If I have an issue with the shares tomorrow I will start a new thread. Thanks!
