In reply to: [Membership 2] Register/ Login with TwitterAlso I’m not sure this will work – if a user is registered, they would no longer be classed as a “Visitor”, would they?

In reply to: [Membership 2] Register/ Login with TwitterHi Jack,
Is there any way to automatically assign a subscription to new users – perhaps using a custom function?
Thanks,

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] Remove "Delete Cache" button from admin barI’m not looking to add another plugin as it’s not needed. The author of WP Super Cache has added an ID to their admin bar button (DELETE CACHE), so using the code I’ve posted, it should be possible to remove it.
I’m still unsure why this isn’t working though.. I have confirmed the ID is “delete-cache”, yet adding:
$wp_admin_bar->remove_menu('delete-cache');
..doesn’t seem to be working. Perhaps the plugin author would care to explain why?
@wpsmort I’m aware of that – please check the date this was originally posted. I’ll forgive you though (since you’re a fellow Gooner!)
Can a mod please bury this thread? Ta
I’m glad you found this useful jwatto, however I seem to recall the plugin has now been re-worked (for the better, might I add)

In reply to: How to merge two short pieces of php codeThere’s also the option of using this instead:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[new_royalslider id="1"]'); ?>
So we’d need to replace the 1 with:
<?php meta('portfolio-slider-id'); ?>
Jean Galea – since you chose to be ignorant and totally ignore my comment/ questions I instead used Japol69’s code, which works perfectly fine.
A customer lost.Thank you Japol69, most appreciated

In reply to: [Analyticator] Dashboard Widget Showing Stats from Wrong SiteI’m having the same problem, also looked in the database and can find instances of Google Analyticator but not really sure what I’m looking for
Whilst I have absolutely no problem paying for plugins (or even donating towards good/free plugins).. paying to be a Beta tester of an add-on, really?
I have since come across an alternative plugin (not add-on), which does all of which your plugin and add-on does, and more – the price isn’t much more than your add-on, and it’s also been around for quite some time with relatively good feedback (..it’s also not in Beta stage).
If I’m to buy your plugin, please at least provide some screenshots of the new options/ features in the back-end.
In regards to image thumbs, I assume that this can only grab a thumbnail IF the RSS feed in question contains image thumbnails?
It may seem like a silly question but from my understanding, the WP RSS Feed (as standard) doesn’t have thumbnail support – it must be added (either via plugin or by adding some code to the theme’s functions file). What happens if some RSS feeds don’t have RSS image thumbnail support? Is there an option to display a fall-back image?Lastly, can I ask why rather than releasing an add-on, you didn’t just release a premium version of the plugin, to which any new features would be added?
In terms of you making more £ I can understand, but in terms of us end-users, A) we really don’t want to have to pay for all these add-ons individually and B) We really don’t want to install numerous plugins for the same purpose.I assure you I’m not trying to be an a*se, just offering some feedback from an end-user point of view. I have several sites (and clients sites) who could really use something like your plugin (or the alternative plugin which I’ve come across) but I want to ensure I make the right choice of plugin from the outset. It’s a really big deal for me.
Regards
+1 for this feature. The image size would need to be changeable though ??

In reply to: [Lightbox Plus Colorbox] How to add lightbox attribute to gallery shortcode?add link=”file”, so you end up with something like this:
[gallery link="file" columns="4" ids="24,25,29,28,26,27,31,30,32,33,37,36,35,34,38,39,40,41,45,44,43,42,46,47,48,49,53,52,50,51,54,55,56,57"]
For the default post template you don’t need to add:
<?php /* Single Post Template: Default */ ?>
…because WordPress automatically looks for, and uses single.php.
For the template selection widget to appear in the back-end you need to have an alternative post template, in which you do need to define the template name:
<?php /* Single Post Template: YOUR TEMPLATE NAME */ get_header(); ?>
If you only have the default post template in your theme folder (no alternative templates) the template selection widget won’t appear in the back-end
You don’t need to add that to the default post template as it automatically uses single.php
It’s important to note that the current version of this plugin is broken. Download version 1.3 and use that instead, it should fix your problem.
