In reply to: Page Title Changes UnexpectedlyThanks, ancawonka. Yes, the problem continued when I rolled back the site.
Found the culprit this morning. I have a password manager Lastpass that has an autofill feature for passwords. Somehow this autofilled Post titles. Disabled; all OK — except 3 days spent on the issue. Donn’t know why this started.
May have been tied into the caching, who knows? Again, thanks for your support.

In reply to: Page Title Changes UnexpectedlyThanks. I have done so, but find that the issue appears when I change themes; ie the problem seems independent of the theme.
I have also rolled back to an earlier wp-content & database backup (when the problem did not occur. I also don’t see any other file time-stamped to indicate it was modified prior to the issue. (Will look again to be sure)
Maddening. Any other possible areas to investigate?

In reply to: Changing sidebar width in Theme UU2014Thanks. I have already tried that. I must have an account to post on that site, and I am unfortunately not allowed to create an account. Have tried it several times.
Yes, but by restoring the old site from backup and more carefully transfering the links with GoDaddy handholding.
I suspect “operator error” was at the heart of the issue; made the xfr without full knowledge of the moving parts.
Thanks for checking up.
Thanks for the prompt reply. It worked like a charm. Outstanding addition to the new version. (Note to other users: I had to delete and reinsert galleries into my pages, but simple to do)
I was aware that the Reset feature was in the new version, and appreciate your reassurance that it is non-destructive. I have a limited understanding of links, slugs, etc. so I am extra conservative. (I saved a backup, just in case.)
Aside: NextGen is by far the most useful and well-documented plug-in I’ve used. Supported well, too. Thank you.
Update: I attempted to insert a newly-created gallery into a page via the attach-to-post icon and I get “Runtime Exception thrown”. I fear the solution is more complex than I thought. You advice appreciated.
