I have some users complaining of how emails rendered in Mac OS Mail and also on iPad. The Char. Set setting I’m using in SendPress is UTF-8. I wonder if the encoding setting has to be 8bit, 7bit, binary or what?

I use MAC also. I live and work overseas and need to support double byte characters. I am curious if the ISO of the database structure are different than what the setting is in SendPress?

Ok, one more tip for anyone watching:

I changed to “Ultimate TinyMCE” and got even more control. I also added “TinyMCE Templates” and that is helpful also.

My usual is to have my newsletter content area as a post, (like lots of people do).

The odd thing though is you can’t reliably insert posts into the newsletter. If I do that, the image proportions get messed up.

What is working is to create my newsletter post inside the SendPress newsletter editing process, then cut and paste the raw HTML into the new post. Kinda’ backwards huh?

It would be very nice if there was a way to establish “parity” between a newsletter layout and a post layout.

So is what is meant here is to add a directory just inside the wp-content directory ABOVE the plugins directory?

OK! I may have found a solution:

I added the TinyMCE Advanced plugin and I can edit things. Also, the formatting: i.e.: alignment, spacing, border etc. seems to be being maintained.

Now my question is: Does anyone know of any possible conflicts with SendPress or other plugins I should be aware of?

I had hoped a workaround might be to just do all my formatting inside a post and then insert the post.

It seems if I use a post and insert that, the declarations for spacing between images is lost.
