did you manage to fix the problem you were having AIRCOM? I also would like to know exactly where to put the above code.

In reply to: editing 404.php not workingno I don’t but I was thinking of setting one up as I’ve read somewhere that setting a child theme for a 404 page would be a good idea

In reply to: editing 404.php not workingHi sorry for not using the pastebin before;
here is the code for the weaver 404.php file
https://pastebin.com/eFgVzAz9but the text that appears on my website 404 error page and that of the weaver 404.php is different
so i went into the twenty ten theme 404.php file
https://pastebin.com/v57TPnwZand this is the text that shows on my website’s 404 error
editing either of these files makes no difference….
thanksHey thank you for getting back so quickly – sorry I thought firebug was pointing me to contact form 7 – but it appears it is a different contact form.
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: have an excisiting domain pointed to new siteyes through the cpanel – though I’m not very confident with using it.
Would the simplest thing to do be-1. undo everything
2. change the name to something like https://www.ballogie.estate.co.uk (changing the – for a . )
3. then have https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk pointed to the my website
– the question I have with this is would it be possible to just change my website to https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk – but as it is a bought domain I guess I can’t do that.
thanks very much for your help!

In reply to: have an excisiting domain pointed to new sitethe ballogie name needs to stay with them for security reasons as it links to other parts of their company – email etc

In reply to: have an excisiting domain pointed to new siteI know, I realise i have done this the completely wrong way!
Yes I did do this
Do you mean you told them 'My server, where jennynicol.com lives, has the IP 123.45.6.8. Point ballogie-estate.co.uk to that UP?'
I did have access to my worpress website when the domain was jennynicol.com but when https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk was made the main domain I couldn’t access my wordpress login page.
ok so I need to undo everything – make jennynicol.com the main domain name and delete https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk as a domain and then point https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk away from the IP server.
I want the site that I’ve made to stay with the original hosting – it’s just the https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk name that needs to be hosted somewhere else. (which is why it was pointed to the IP server)
I’m sorry if I’m not begin clear enough..let me know if I need to be more specific.

In reply to: have an excisiting domain pointed to new sitethank you for the quick reply however currently I am not able to access my wordpress site – therefore I cannot follow any of the steps indicated in that codex.
also the excising domain is being hosted by someone else.
I would like to know if I need to undo any of the steps I have done above if so what I would then have to do to get https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk to be the address that people type in to get to my jennynicol.com site – though the jennynicol.com would not show and each page in the site would be eg https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk/for-let,
https://www.ballogie-estate.co.uk/for-salethanks

In reply to: [space] delete extra space at the bottom of content areaHi
Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve removed the ‘powered by..’ but there is still too much white space under the text in the content area for my liking.
any more ideas?
