In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] Avatars not loaded from GravatarThanks a lot. I think it’s OK. It can easily be turned off.

In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] Avatars not loaded from GravatarThanks for the support.
Yes, it is probably a Jetback feature but it shows the Gravatar images. You can see them next to the “Liken”-Button at the end of the posts but above the comments.

In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] Avatars not loaded from GravatarBut it doesn’t change the little gravatars next to the “Like”-Button.
Will the plugin change back the gravatars from the past comments when somebody posts a new comment and accepts gravatars to be loaded?
All the gravatars from past comments are gone now which doesn’t look very nice.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] Avatars not loaded from GravatarIt’s working now. There was a tick missing in my WordPress Profile to allow my Gravatar to be loaded. This necessary tick should be mentioned somewhere because the Gravatars worked fine before the plugin was activated.

In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] Avatars not loaded from GravatarThe plugin even changes my WP avatar in the top right corner of my WP dashport.
Where can I change logged-out commenting? Couldn’t find it in my gravatar profile.I don’t want to activate anonymous comments with gravatar.
The gravatar icon doesn’t even show up when I am logged in WP. It only does when I upload an avatar for me on my server.- This reply was modified 5 years ago by jenskoegler.

In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] Avatars not loaded from GravatarAnonymously. I was logged out completely. I’ve also ticked the box that avatars can be used but the avatar didn’t show up.
I’ve activated the plugin again and posted a test comment. Here is the link to the wp page.

In reply to: [Avatar Privacy] avatarsYes, that would have been very helpful to know how the issue was fixed. I’ve got the same problem.
When I activate the plugin all avatars in the comments are replaced by the Standard-Avatar I’ve chosen in WP -> Settings -> Discussion. Even my own avatar is gone and replaced by it.
When I log out of my backend and write a test-comment, still the standard avatar is shown (even when I tick the box that I want to use my gravatar). It seems that the plugin doesn’t load an avatar from Gravatar at all, even when I’ve agreed to do it.
When I deactivate the plugin, all gravatars are back in the comments (mine included).

I could solve the problem. I just reset all the settings of foogallery to standard and the warning was gone. I then could use the original settings which I had before and the warning didn’t show up again. Don’t know what was the problem.

I’m still learning. It took me another 3 hours to re-create the theme and it’s working ok again.
I’ve put the theme in the folder extensions/newsletter/emails/themes
I’ve also made minor changes in the file social.php and put the whole default folder there, too.Just two more questions. Would it be enough to just keep a copy of the modified social.php in the extensions folder and the rest of the default-theme in plugins/newsletter/emails/themes/default ? If there is a name conflict between both social.php files, which one of them will we used by wordpress?
You wrote it in the documentation but i didn’t get it.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Esplanade] Add Read moreThanks a lot for your help. It’s working now.
I already thought that a href was missing somewhere because I know some HTML. I’m just don’t know enough about php and its syntax. I’m only at the beginning doing experiments. ??Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: [Esplanade] Add Read moreThe Read More shows up all tight now but it’s still not working.
The Read More has the colour of a link and it also changes its colour when you move your mouse arrow over it. But it’s no working link and you can’t click on it to get to the full post. It’s a “fake link”. Just colored text and nothing more.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Esplanade] Add Read moreThanks a lot for your help. ??
I will try it tomorrow. Need some sleep first.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Esplanade] Add Read moreThe replacement php lines don’t seem to work with my Esplanade theme.
Some of the script text shows up where just the “Read More” should show up. It basically looks like this (with the post’s headline/title for the_title_attribute):
” rel=”bookmark” title=”the_title_attribute”>Read More
The text has the colour of a link and it also changes its colour when you move your mouse arrow over it. But it’s no working link and you can’t click on it to get to the full post.
I’ve changed it back. Could anybody here provide a working solution? It would be much appreciated.

Jay
