Otto: I cannot believe you took this much time to help me! Thank you SO much. I don’t understand all of it, but I’ll figure it out eventually. One quick question though, the amazon border thing, do you mean the links on my pages? or the one at the bottom of the first page? I will probably just take that one out anyway, but I am wondering for future reference.

I really appreciate you taking this much time and effort to help me. Thank you!

I realized last night that I had probably given Moshu’s reply a tone that he did not intend it to have. I guess the thing was that I am not someone who asks a question and then waits for an answer… I am the type of person who researches a problem all day and then posts when I can’t find an answer.

I appreciate the help here. I wanted to say that the reason I posted more than once, was because I was starting to figure things out. My first question, I posted because no one had answered the day before and I had accidentally marked it as resolved. I tried to take “resolved” off, but it didn’t change. In the second post, I had gotten a little further in researching and was simply asking if my modifications were the problem. I also posted to this thread because I thought the forums were seperate, it wasn’t until today I realized that on the top support page, all of the categories feed into one. I guess that is why everyone thought I was being impatient…. I just thought I was putting my posts in two different places.

The thing that upset me was someone assuming I had only been looking for answers for an hour. I have been working on this for two full days now. Your replies have made me realize I have been searching for the wrong thing all this time.

Thank you for your help. And, Moshu, I appologize if I did not read your post as you intended it to be read. Please realize I HAVE been trying to work on this problem for myself, by myself long before posting here.

I also did not have to change file permissions. I couldn’t do it with ws_ftp so I just tried for the install.

Oh and just for future reference, you can change your own hosting server by going to the hosting services link, click on the name of your site and the side bar will change allowing you to choose economy hosting with php for free. It took a full day for mine to switch over thought. And all of my files and databases were still there when it finally switched.

I’ll just post the message. This is what I got when I put my link in.

I can tell you what needs to be done, but I don’t know how to do it. You need to allow the plug in write access. That is what it says in the installtion section of the plug in download. However, I didn’t need to do that, so I can’t tell you how. But that must be your problem.

Okay I figured out the problem with the link. but when i put the link in Rss reader I got an error message. I also got a message from weblogs.com that my feed could not be validated. Here is the message I got from feedvalidator. I don’t understand it,but maybe someone can interpret.

I am using WP to create pages but they don’t look like my blog. They LOOK like the same page, but they don’t have the same blog capability. I can’t enter seperate dated messages. Unless I can and just don’t know how, that is what I was asking if it is possible.

When you create a new page I am only seeing one little box to write in, so I have all of my content there. If you look at my page you will see what I mean

Thanks so much to both of you I had found those threads earlier, and I needed to switch over to Linux, but it never would have worked anyway……”Blushes”….. I forgot to unpark the domains…. he he he

Yes, I am putting that exact site in (in fact I just copied and pasted what you wrote, changed it to the actual name of my site and it still doesn’t work). I think I may need to contact my hosting company because last night I tried to put in just a very simple index file to see at least “something” on my page, and I couldn’t even get that to work. I have enough experience with web pages to know THAT should have worked.
