Nevermind…. after further reading, I found out that iOS is not yet supported.

However, can someone explain how on https://superpwa.com/ when I add the PWA to my iOS device the splash screen works but not when I’m trying to implement it on my own site?

Am I missing something? test site example I’m working on is https://detroitmetroseo.com

Found the issue… I had selected who to display to the on set up screen. I had to not select any.

I agree with all of the above. While I don’t do code from scratch I use Thrive Themes… Probably the most advanced Drag and Drop Available.

I don’t need a build in solution… Gutenberg should have and should be 100% optional as a plugin or (Pre-installed) not as a Core Feature. Adding this load to the core doesn’t make sense.

It also broke my Gravity Form Generator… so now I either have to learn/hand type the shortcodes for GF or get an update from GF which is going to require me to spend another $200 plus dollars. Which I don’t have.

I attempted to use the “Classic Editor” plugin, while it works on most of my sites one of my sites which is running quite a few plugins due to the complexity of my required functions it is now making my custom fields inoperable… so that is just great.

    Gal –

Thanks for the link. As I predicted I would be required to purchase a new business license which isn’t in my budget at the moment and not good news. But thank you for the follow-up information.

I can only hope that this is my only issue. Unforatnly the “Classic Editor” option plugins are conflicting with one of my many other current plugins so that is not a workaround for me.

I guess I will either compromise my WP version security for usability or update WP and type out all my GF shortcodes… lol. Not ideal when in the middle of development.

Thanks again. I understand there are many people calling these shots. I just would have presumed it best to leave things barebone with the classic WYSIWYG and leave the building blocks editor as an optional plugin.

    Cheers.

The issue is that it forcibly rearranges the back end data fields.

As I stated some of the functions that worked before I can no longer locate or simply don’t work, such as the Gravity form shortcode generator.

If I use a disabler plugin it completely makes classic elements un-operable.

And we all know the more plugins we use the greater risk of conflict.

As I said… I support the advancements but it is my opinion that we shouldn’t be forced into using it as the default, especially in today’s age when there are many other solutions to use and this clearly makes some advanced changes to the WP core.

I just think there should be an option, in other words, a separate plugin rather than having it built into the default setup.

Make it as a pre-installed plug-in, but not build into the framework.

I’m sure third-party plugins will adapt and function properly in the future with updates as with my gravity form issue… But this may require me to purchase a new paid subscription, hopefully not.

In the meantime I will have to type out all my GF shortcodes or revert back to an outdated version of WP with out of date security measures, I’m not sure which is best.

I appreciate that the WP team is working to make progress on a more advanced editor for users who want more features out of the box. But as I already use and am fully committed to a very advanced paid editor I have no plans to entertain Gutenberg.

Also, the new backend layout is very annoying as it is not what I’m used to. I believe they should have promoted the Gutenberg plugin rather than making it the standard install.

Anyway… I quickly found a plugin that will disable the editor if you are having any issues with it. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-editor/ or https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-gutenberg/

    Cheers!

So After testing, I found that only https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-editor/ work for my install. Also, My gravity form shortcode generator will not work now.

The fact I have to install an un-necessary plugin to avoid the editor and that it could potentially break parts of my site is not cool.

Wow.. so after trying the disabler plugins I found that they left many of the classic elements un-operable. This is totally fxxked up. I will be reverting back to the previous version, luckily I made a back up right before the update.

Can anyone tell me what I should do to avoid this forced situation and still keep up with Security Patches?

Reading the terms of use I will interpret a couple points regarding below stated section:

“No Hosting or Resale: You may not provide access to an Elementor installation as a hosting service provider or a reseller, and you may not provide to others as part of a “Software As-a-Service” (SaaS). You may not bundle it and resell it as a commercial, off the shelf, license or product. This means that you can use Elementor as a part of a commercial project where you design a theme for your client, but cannot use it in a theme or DIY website hosting solution”

    ——–

Point #1: “You may not provide access to an Elementor installation as a hosting service provider..”

    – My interpretation of this… You can not offer a stand-alone hosting service which includes Elementor as a bonus or incentive for hosting with you…. what this does mean is you CAN host your client’s websites that you have personally constructed and designed. You CAN NOT, however, sell a hosting service which includes a preinstalled license to Elementor by which you are only provided hosting and no design service. This would also be considered a DIY (You must provide some type of additional design services, not just hosting)

    ——–

Point 2. “or as a reseller, and you may not provide to others as part of a “Software As-a-Service” (SaaS)

    – My interpretation of this… You can not purchase an unlimited license and then “sell” / “activate” your license on websites and sell it as a (SaaS) or as if you were the original or authorized software license provide further requiring the end user to pay you for access. This is not allowed as you are not the original SaaS provider, Elementor is.

This extends to this point: You can not install and activate a license on a clients website without personally performing design/development services for such client. (Design/Development should encompass: Original design work or the installation and configuration of pre-design templates that were created by you)

I would think you could then bill for monthly support and management services, so long as you originally assisted in the design/development of the project.

    ———-

Point 3. You may not bundle it and resell it as a commercial, off the shelf, license or product

    – My interpretation of this… I am not sure on this as it may conflict with my business model. Perhaps I can get feedback.

My business model: Working in a niche industry I have compiled “bundled” a number of industry related products together under a single program. Elementor being one of them.

Within this model, I provide installation and configuration of pre-designed Elementor templates that I have personally built and of which are ready for live site publication… these services are then billed as a setup/development fee. After that, I also provide support and training on how to use the template editor.

(Note: I am performing more than a simple installation of the plugin and templates. I am assisting with the setup and configuration of such assets to a point that the website is functional and ready for a live environment)

Clients are then required to pay me a monthly fee for continued maintenance and support for the entire package as a whole. (Note: I have additional included services that require monthly fees…. also clients are not required to use Elementor and they are not billed for it. They are simply billed for the ongoing support, Elementor or not.

At no point am I labeling or selling Elementor as a licensed, off the shelf product. It is merely a tool within my packages to be used for the development of client sites under a larger umbrella program.

Any feedback on point 3 would be helpful.

    ——-

To that end, this is my interpretation of the previous concerns and licensing questions.

I would presume an Unlimited license would work for this.

Or would I be required to purchase a separate license for each individual client?

Hi… Sorry for the late response.

I”m trying again but this time I’ve tagged the button with a Click based event in GTM. When I test the button by shrinking my browser and clicking records as an event in my analytics.

However it doesn’t register any event when I click when on my phone.

The Button is located at https://ridebluecar.com/taxi-cab

Can you help me in knowing why the tag is working on PC but not on mobile

    Thanks

Any Chance you are able to share this code or sell? Or do you have a website as an example. I to am looking for something to limit delivery to a street by street basis. Possibly using using google maps KML file

    Disregard my previous support request.

It turns out that my a part of my drag and drop editor was breaking the the menu CSS code.

    Thanks

I am having the same issue as above. I am using word press 3.8 and Canvas from woo themes. Do you know if there is a compatibility issue with Canvas?

Originally on install it pulled from the featured image post but would not add more by simply adding media to the post area box.

I uninstalled and reinstalled to try to resolve the issue. Now I’m not even getting a photo tab to display. Please help.
