I would be very happy to see that, maybe even happy enough to return to supporting via Patreon.
Thanks. I did in fact include the URI of my site in the original post, although it was not hyperlinked. My apologies.
The fault seems to be with the media.js player.
I switched to the HTML5 player and it works fine.
I switched back, and it is broken again.

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget Extended] Problem with caption includedThis does not apply to the latest version 0.9.1
I would also like to get rid of the caption and other shortcodes, if possible.
How can I do this?
Thanks

In reply to: [Pinboard] Footer widgets break Pinboard home pageA friend who is much more expert than me took a look and changed line 781 of functions.php to
columnWidth : jQuery(container.querySelector('.<?php echo pinboard_teaser_class(); ?>')).width() - 1,
That now works.

In reply to: [Pinboard] Footer widgets break Pinboard home pageI downloaded a completely new installation of this theme via wordpress — version 1.1.4
No change in the behaviour of my home page. The footer with widgets still crashes into the main content.
Then I downloaded it from onedesigns and just put in the new functions.php.
Still no change.
I also deactivated all plugins, and that made no difference either.
The very first time I load the static front page after activating the theme, it looks OK, but then a reload of any kind, either from another page or just clicking on reload, messes it up.
I have tested in Chrome and Safari.
I’m very frustrated, as this theme seems other wise to be so good and is just what I have been looking for.
I would be totally happy to donate if I could get this little thing sorted out.

In reply to: [Pinboard] Footer widgets break Pinboard home pageI’ll try that.
I wasn’t aware that there had been an update to the theme since I reported the issue.

In reply to: Footer widgets break Pinboard home pageDone. Although I would have thought that tagging “Pinboard” might be enough. Apologies that it wasn’t.
As for posting your own topics, what’s the point if daveredford is simply saying he has the same problem and that it does not seem to be a problem with plug-ins?
To me, that is indicating that more than one person has the problem, not that someone is hijacking another thread.
Anyway, thanks for the redirect, and looking forward to see how that works out.

In reply to: Footer widgets break Pinboard home pageThanks for the message of solidarity, at least. If it is something to do with 3.9, I wonder when we might expect a fix?

In reply to: Can't access dashboard after 3.8.3 updateThanks Andrew Nacin. Renaming worked for me.
For what it is worth, this affected only my site on Dreamhost. Other sites were not affected. I also had to purge the Varnish cache.
When do I rename object-cache-php back to its previous name?

In reply to: [Featured Post Widget] Showing two posts instead of oneI’m afraid I don’t know. I switched to a different plugin. I couldn’t wait.

In reply to: [DreamObjects Backups] Backups not happeningThanks Mike
I don’t think it is necessary to increase the PHP memory. In the end, I download the uploads folder via FTP and I will store it myself in a bucket on S3. Once the initial upload to S3 is done (which takes forever) I will be my own rsync and just manually upload each month’s folder at the end of the month. I think that will work fine.

In reply to: [DreamObjects Backups] Backups not happeningI deleted the files and changed to SQL backup only. Scheduled a backup ASAP. That apparently worked.

[2013/12/02 08:59:55]So it seems that size is the issue. I’ll have to think of another strategy for backing up the rest of the site (mostly the uploads).
Do you have any suggestions?
