I looked in more detail, and I can see 1 day’s backups in wp-content/upgrade — as in the log — which seems like a strange place for it to be. But I cannot see the 15 days’ worth I have asked for anywhere.

Not certain; whatever DreamPress provides.

* Are you on shared hosting?
I don’t think so; DreamPress.

* Does the on-demand (ASAP) backup work?
No

* When you turn on the logging, do you get ANY information?
Logging says the backup is being made:

However, the files DO NOT show up in the Backups tab of the plugin. Nor are they visible in the test.agro bucket. I have no idea where they are, but they aren’t where the plugin says they ought to be,

* What happens and what do you expect to happen?
I expect a daily backup of the DB and Content to be zipped and placed in the bucket called test.agro

* Since you mention the TARDIS problem, what’s your timezone set to? And have you tested in another (like Los Angeles)?
Timezone is set to UTC+1 and I have not tested in another timezone.

* How big is your site?
In terms of what? More than 5000 posts. Dbase is about 125MB

* WP-DBManager has a backup tool as well – do you still have that installed and running?
Installed but not running. DreamHost support told me that it might be the source of the problem, so I deactivated. Also, DreamPress doesn’t like the backup folder being 777

Finally, if possible, can you share your URL? If you’re on DreamHost, I work there so I can go peek and see if I’ve already been traipsing around or not.

I SUSPECT that if you’re having a TARDIS error, you might need to kill the cron job for DHO, and I know that’s a little complex. Easiest way is to temporarily install WP Crontrol and use that to delete the DreamObjects jobs.
Someone (you?) installed WP crontrol for me. I’ve never used it. Should I try that now?

Yes, you see what looks like a sidebar ?? but it is actually some stuff that is going in on the before_sidebar1 hook.

It is only on the home page. Sidebar1 shows fine on other pages and signgle posts. I have a feeling it may be a memory issue. I am going to increase the memory now and see whether that makes a difference.

I don’t think it is a Thesis problem.

Strange; I deleted renamed index.html and all seems to be well. But when I tried that, much earlier in the day, it had no effect. Maybe something to do with emptying the cache …

Thanks. I get exactly the same error on my site at https://jeremycherfas.net/wp but not at two other sites that I also upgraded automatically.

May I ask what tool you used to discover that? I have some extensions in my browser, but wasn’t sure which ones to use.

Same problem here.m WP 3.3 and Chrome.

I disabled all plugins and switched to the 2011 theme, and still the problem remained.

Clicking Quick Edit has no effect. In addition, clicking on the status links for Pending, or trying to Edit the date to publish, has no effect.

It is as if those links are dead.

Any ideas?

Would it be possible for the authors to pull the Starred items instead of the Shared items? GReader still allows you to star items …

Thanks for your suggestions, monodistortion. I’ve got two plugins because I have been trying to decide which I prefer. The one in the sidebar does work for the static home page. I think I like the idea of having the translate ability inside the post or page best.

Now I’m thinking I could use the widget Logic plugin to make the translator widget show up in the home page sidebar, but not in the other pages, which would have your Translate option.
