BIG apology regarding my most recent messages – I was looking at my staging site and not the live site – I’m so sorry. New subscribers are actually being added to my list. Also the stats for that email are there.
My initial request stands – that emails were not being sent to all on my subscribers list. The last email did go to all on the list, so I am hopeful this is now resolved. But I will wait until the next on goes out in a few days time to make sure.
Many thanks and sincere apologies, once again.
Jerry
Although I know emails have been opened my stats for the last newsletter read 0%/0%
Looks like there are some fundamental issues with my Mailpoet
so I am very confused. When I just looked at my Mailpoet dashboard it said that sending is paused as I don’t have a valid key. I went to the key activation tab and on one line it said my key is valid and the next it says it is not valid. I went to the Mailpoet account and it is showing two plans there. One with the key I have been using (and it says 67 emails sent) and another with a different key. I used the new key and now it says the key is valid but
“this subscription is currently pending approval by MailPoet.
You should receive an email from us about it within 48h. Sending will be paused in the meantime, but you can still send email previews to yourself and explore the plugin features.”What is going on?
As above, your test subscriber has not registered in my subscriber list.
This is the previous email I received:
“Howdy,
The subscriber [email protected] has just subscribed to your list Newsletter mailing list!
Cheers,
The MailPoet Plugin
You can disable these emails in your MailPoet Settings.“
There is no indication of how they subscribed, although it would have been with a Mailpoet form – either the pop-up or the static form on the ‘join us’ page.
I have just received notification that I have a new subscriber – [email protected] – but it does not appear in my subscriber list.
Furthermore, I am now getting emails saying I have a new subscriber but they are not appearing in my subscriber list.
Hi
The website is https://www.writewithjerry.com
Yes, I am using Mailpoet to send emails.
I am looking at the “emails” section of Mailpoet, and in the ‘status’ column it has the number/number. Against previous emails it has 20/20 when I had 25 subscribers. My last email seemed to be more successful, though, with the status at 31/31.
Small numbers at the moment but if I reach 1,000 and the email is only being sent to 80% of the list, that would be a worry.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Jerry.
PS: I understand I would have to pay for faster response, but I am trying to assess the plugin before I get to the stage where I will be paying. Over a week is a long time to wait when I am needing to send more emails and am unsure.
disappointed not to have had a response on this yet. I’m at a stage where I need to make a decision as to which mailing service I am going to use into the future.
Although, I tried to create a ticket there, but you can’t ask a question without an account. And, guess what… you can’t register without buying the plug-in.
Jerry
OK, thank you. You’ve been very helpful.
Best wishes,
jerryThank you, this is very helpful.
I understand that the opt-ins addos is not available with the free version, but does your opt-ins support integration with Mailpoet with the premium version.
Once I have some members I will upgrade to the premium version but I need to know that people joining as paid members in ARMember will automatically be added to the Mailpoet list(s).
Thanks again and best wishes,
Jerry
Thank you again. I have made the change to the recaptcha and that, for me, is a better solution. However, It has made my forms look a little clunky now, with the square box. Can I change that to a rectangle?
J
Ok – I have found the “disable Captcha”.
I’m not convinced that everyone has received a confirmation email, though.
For my neighbour’s subscription I have re-sent the confirmation email and he still has not received it. I have also resent (two days ago) to all the others in the “unconfirmed” list and none has yet confirmed.
J
Hi again – thank you for doing that.
After I sent my last message here I changed the form on the “join us” page because I had been using a WP form and I wondered if that was the problem. Once I changed to a Mailpoet form and tested again I did get the Captcha page and then the confirmation email.
However, when using the pop-up form it just disappears after clicking on the “sign me up” button – no redirect to the Captcha page and no confirmation email. I tried again and I still didn’t get the Captcha page, although I did get the confirmation email.
I actually don’t like the redirect to the Chaptcha page – it’s not in my style and it seems over the top when you are asking them to confirm with a clickable email. Can I turn that off? I don’t see the option anywhere. It seems strange that the redirect is there with a static form but not with the pop-up.
Are the confirmation pages and the Captcha page editable?
Thank you for your help with this. Nearly there.
Jerry
I have just tried signing up myself using a spare email address (gmail) – once using a pop-up and once with a static form. In the former case it just disappeared and in the latter it said “thank you..etc” but in neither case did I receive a confirmation email.
The second one (from the pop-up form, I believe) has just appear in the “unconfirmed” list. But no email.
My static form is on this page: https://writewithjerry.com/membership-join/
The pop-up should be self-evident at any page in https://writewithjerry.com/
Many thanks
Jerry
