Thank you for the kind words and for sending this issue through. I wasn’t aware of this change to Anchor.fm.

I can confirm that you are right. There is a redirect that’s happening which changes the url for the embed to podcasters.spot instead of anchor.fm.

Strangely this doesn’t occur with other podcasts I tested on. Maybe they are rolling it out gradually for different countries.
I think the solution for now will be to have the plugin check for a redirect at the embed URL and if there is one, build a podcasters.spot URL and permanently use it from then on forth.

I will roll that out ASAP. Definitely don’t want this to affect a lot of users!

I think that most likely because it is rendering so many podcast episodes, your web browser may be struggling, which causes the issue you see. Could you try setting the maximum episodes to, say, 10 just as a test and see if that resolves the issue?

Your site URL has a “/” at the end. You’ll need to remove that for the plugin to function correctly.

I found that autoplaying is only possible by fully rebuilding the player as a part of the plugin, instead of it being an embed running on anchor.fm. As it’s quite a lot of work, that feature will be available in a premium version of the plugin that I am building along with some other new features.
I haven’t decided on pricing yet but it won’t be expensive.
I can let you know here when the premium version is released if you like?

It is actually https://anchor.fm/mastermind-iec
If you change that, it should work now.

Thanks for the message.

Unfortunately this is not possible because the player itself is actually an iframe that runs externally from your site, on the anchor.fm site. This means that nothing on the player can be altered. This plugin appends the episode list under the iframe, so only the episode list can be controlled.

However, I am in the process of building a premium version of this plugin that rebuilds the player on your site. This will allow the player to load faster, autoplay when an episode is selected, and change the colour of elements such as the progress bar, among other things.

I anticipate the premium version will be released in a few months. I haven’t decided on pricing yet, but it won’t be expensive.
