As to the other problem, I feel like an idiot. I hadn’t turned on images in the new category through the category options section

You might want to check any recently installed plugins.
I ran into this problem with a calendar plugin… I forget which one though… When I had posts set to become visible in the future “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” popped up. When I deleted the future posts I still got the error. I had to deactivate the plugin to fix the problem.
This probably doesn’t help that much, but if it’s not the cache and it’s not this, I don’t know.

how long should it take before the comments actually become closed? I installed this… ran into the whitespace error, corrected that… but don’t see any changes… I went back and checked my old posts and the comments were still open… I then added a new post for today, published it, and then went back and checked the old posts and the comments were still open.

Bizarre… I suppose I’ll just let it do it’s thing and see if it fixes itself when november pulls around

serious eyestrain with the right column… almost gives me a headache… am I really getting that old?

the right hand column is off a bit… it’s displaying below the content for me. try reducing the width of the content column or increasing the width of the right column… or a little bit of both.

I repaired my databases and all is OK now…

According to my stats I still have 78+ MB left… (Total space = 100 MB )… Also according to my host the drive my site is located on is only 21% full

it shouldn’t have… I set up the Dots style as the default style however it is the only style which has the banner activated on it. maybe you were using a different style?

thanks for the wp-comments.php help. That worked great. I’m glad to hear that that error isn’t poping up. I have no idea how I fixed it.
