Did not change anything. Must be something in the theme (Organic NonProfit)

I installed Smart Posts Widget and it works fine with excerpts. The Advanced Posts Widget also worked fine but I did not like the way it looked.

Still perhaps there is a filter problem in your widget code.

Sorry my error. I was testing on a gallery that had no photo captions. Once I wired one in that did all is good. Thx.

Open wp-print.php

Go down to line 149. There you will see three cases. If you are displaying the default “gif plus text” then edit case 1.

Note that there are two anchors (a href=) in case 1 (one for gif and one for text)

This file probably gets overwritten if you update the plugin version.
