In reply to: [WordPress Follow Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Floating/sticky follow buttons?Hi Florence.
Have you tried the follow header in this plugin? That tool will link to your profiles on social networks and stay at the top of the screen as your visitors scroll thru pages.
Thanks,
JulkaHi @onnoah
Version 6.1.0 went out this afternoon with a fix for this issue. Please let us know if you have any further issues.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Filtering IssueHi insidethepark.
No, unfortunately, there are no filters for that.
Depending on your mode, you’ll see one of two things when editing the sharing sidebar. There will either be an Advanced Settings section in the Sidebar configurations where you can define URL patterns on which to hide that tool, or a Templates section with options like homepage, pages, post, categories.
Thanks,

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Filtering IssueHi insidethepark.
I tried your code in the functions.php file of the active theme (twentyseventeen) in a clean WordPress install. It worked as expected, with buttons above and below posts (both on the pages for the posts and excerpts for the posts) disappearing.
Have you done some troubleshooting to make sure your code is executing, like an error_log or echo right above where you’re defining your filter?
Thanks,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your issue.
I believe your assumption here is correct and I will take a deeper looking into it. In the meantime, do you have a URL you could share with us that has buttons showing up where you don’t expect them to? It would help with the troubleshooting.
One other thing to consider is caching. If you’re using any caching plugins, you might want to clear their caches after adding in this code in order to see the changes on the page.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Version 6 different resultHi delcour,
Would you mind sharing a url with us where you’re seeing icons but don’t expect them? And perhaps one where the icons are different from what you expect? If you’d prefer to share privately, please feel free to email us at [email protected].

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Version 6 different resultHi delcour,
Thanks for letting us know about your issue.
When configuring the tools for above and below content, have you tried unchecking the options for category pages and archive pages? Category pages, archive pages and the homepage are the most likely places in a theme to use excerpts. Are you seeing the buttons else where that you’re not expecting?
Thanks,
JulkaHi Bruce.
Thanks for reaching out to us.
There warning are for the 5.0 versions of this plugin. Those weren’t consistently tested on PHP7, so I can’t tell you for certain if these warnings effected anything.
Yesterday we released version 6.0.0 and it is tested thoroughly on PHP7. I suggest you give the newest version a try.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] complete localizationHi Jan.
Thanks for letting us know about your issue.
You can customize the text in these areas by putting a JavaScript variable on your site. The following would change these.
window.addthis_translations = { top_services: 'top services text here', load_more: 'load more text here' };

In reply to: [WordPress Follow Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Malware detectedHi hixaga2.
I think I know why you’re having issues with this zip file and Gmail. Google has recently blocked zip files that contain any .js (JavaScript) files. Here’s an article about it. This plugin uses JavaScript for the admin user interface for configuring tools, as does WordPress core. This would explain your issues with Gmail.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] wp_trim_excerptHi 401kspec.
Thanks for letting us know about your issue.
There isn’t a way to disable these comments in this plugin, however, our Smart Layers by AddThis plugin has a way to remove all code from excerpts. Under Advanced Settings >> Loading Options >> Excerpt Filters, you can uncheck all the options. This will remove AddThis tools from all excerpts on your site, such as your homepage, archive pages and anywhere else your theme is asking for excerpts.
The BR tags you’re seeing usually come from wpautop, though sometimes themes or other plugins will add them, too. Here’s a StackOverflow page on various ways people disable wpautop.
Thanks,
