ran the health check thing thanks…
all plugins were off and tried my theme from the default again but still have same issue with the broken image thing

images in new posts/pages upload just fine. its just the logo and main image area of the theme that is doing this

something is screwy…not really used to poking around in depth with image options as they typically just work…but i checked the “view attachment page” and its coming up weird..not loading the image, not sure whats causing this but hopefully it helps troubleshoot?

tried uploading from url, and from media library, and from my desktop…all 3 options it gives me…same error

I was looking in my page source as well and cant decipher any of that

in my media library all of the files seem to be uploaded fine

i really dont know what the disconnect here, quite vexing!

solved…host did something with the theme, not sure what vs what i did but its working now

That’s the thing, I can’t think of anything I was doing to any of those pages at all, I was doing some editing of the body content, but dont see what would cause a structural url error

update, i tried just deleting the problem pages and republishing them with the same body and title so it had the same url structure etc…im getting the same error doh!

tried reverting back to the default theme, no change

resaving permalinks didnt do anything, thanks though

i couldnt decipher anything in that codex page either

i created two new pages today and they both work just fine, but the other existing pages noted above still have the error/search page but are still coming up when i then search for them

I have a new client site to promote and they have this installed, it looks like a major dup content issue unless I am missing something that is going on in the background that solves that.

Right now I see

and both are showing the same homepage content which to me is a big problem

its a fresh install on a subdomain, not a wpmu if thats what u mean?

Could still use help for this. Everything looks normal but when I type in the confirmed correc user/pass it just refreshes to the same blank login page

Yeah I was planning on doing that after reading that suggestion in a couple of posts, as I don’t want to lose my edits.

I’ve already got a bunch of edits to it before I realized this that I would hate to have to try and find and redo….took the post date off and changed various other things. Is there any way to carry these over to the child theme?

bump, I get a lot of long tail traffic to my inner pages so my sales offer widget is not being seen by many potential customers every day

any ideas on how i get my widget/offer to show on all pages and not just the homepage?

bump,this is still vexing me, it seems to happen sometimes and other times not

i just double checked the post in my admin panel and it is showing the proper new post to edit or leave as is so i have no idea where this old post is being stored or how it keeps coming up

not displaying my optin box on the right either which i can see in the ‘appearance’ section in my text box widget area

how bout building in an option that the obl to the plugin creators site goes away with a paypal donation,that would be fair to both sides. i mean even at a buck a pop,with 85k downloads….not to shabby
