Well this was a fresh install this morning. 4.7.4zip downloaded yesterday. I installed only wp spamshield. WP had it’s usual two preinstalled plugins, hello dolly and askimet but I never activated. The warning message went away with the deletion of those two plugins. The warning message was there before activating wp sppamshield.

Litespeed server. My hosting does have managed wordpress but that’s not what I have. I have reseller. I’ll ask them if they have any software installed on the server that I can’t see. I’ve got an unused domain/cpanel account so I’ll go ahead and do another install. Unfortunately, I don’t have ssh access so I can’t snag wp via wget to rule out me downloading and re-uploading wp.zip
For now though, I want to replicate this morning’s install. If it does the same thing, then I’ll either see about ssh access(they do allow but I have to ask) or have them wget.

Mostly gibberish to us mere mortals. ??

This is how a default Apache web server installation would be configured, however it is not a common practice to leave Apache set up in this manner and is especially uncommon for environments where more than one website or domain is hosted at the same IP address.

So with 3 conditions needing to be met and with two of them being unusual, chances are slim to none. There’s mention of apache. I wonder about Litespeed. That’s what I have.

Still, what’s the source of the warning message. That’s what concerns me.

ok but where is this dash message coming from? I don’t have wpscan installed. This is a brand new install and not a one-click type so Hello Dolly and askimet were installed but not activated. I deleted them and the message is gone. However on my previous install, I had neither of those plugins and still got the message. I’d dismiss it and it would come back. Is it coming directly from wp? Seems like it wouldn’t be and it doesn’t make sense that it’s recommending updating wp when I have the latest.

    subscribing (should be automatic)

    I’m using it in 4.7.4

Bothers me that it hasn’t been updated in three years though. Safe?

No kidding eh. The plugin wouldn’t update so I come to www.ads-software.com to check on it and the main plugin page is gone but support forum still here with no explanation. WTF?
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/php-code-for-posts/

404, page cannot be found, yet it’s the official plugin page. The link is up and on the right.

Yes, it’s working for me now also

    Same here.
“Preview” brings a pop up, Error
All pages with data table are blank

I would like the image to always remain the one on the home page. I would prefer to do it in the functions file of a child theme but I am willing to comment some code out on the main theme if that is what it takes. If the theme gets an update, I can comment out again.

    Thank you

Well I reactivated my master-clone site and still, it’s not cloning anything. Just making a new blank site. Tried Multisite Clone Duplicator plugin which allows setting a default site to always be used for new sites and get the same thing, no cloning. Next I tried Multisite Cloner which is what I’ve actually been using, Success.

I’m also using a membership plugin on another network and it’s been giving me issues in the new user/site process so I’m going to try lh signup and see how/if it will fit in to that scenario.

btw, Multisite Cloner is free and ad free as well. Didn’t care for NS Cloner with it’s colorful, ad filled admin page.

Ok, it creates a new site just fine and I like the signup process however, it didn’t clone the site I chose for it. It just made a new blank site with the standard 2015 theme. (I don’t have 2016) I think it may be because my chosen site to clone is not an active site. I don’t want my “master-clone” site to be active because I don’t want people surfing/finding a static site and it’s not really meant for viewing. I also don’t want an active/dynamic site to be cloned because those could get quite large plus they would have content that doesn’t need to be on a new site. So either lhsignup/ns cloner needs to be able to use a site that’s been deactivated yet exists or I need to make master-clone active and find a way to lock it down to the public and search engines. This would pretty much be the way everyone will want it to work.

No problem. I see it’s a brand new plugin and I didn’t want to leave a review without posting here first. I’ll check it out again.

On the Installation tab here, I think you might have a typo.

    3. Network Activate the NS Cloner through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
    4. Optionally install and activate NS Site Cloner fromm the plugin repository using the same process as you sed to install LH Signup

I think #3 should be lh signup, not ns cloner?
    (also used rather than sed)
Take your time dude. Quality better than quantity

correction. I had php7 running on that server evidently. I think I was getting ready to try the php7 update by markc and never completed.

I don’t normally chime in on reviews but I agree.

    “Could you check please?”

should be part of a request for support, not in a review. Mr Allen is a role model for plugin developers.
