I’m really impressed how quick you guys jumped in to help. Much thanks.

Regarding Go Codes: This sounds like a good option, however, if it’s an additional url to the same page (meaning, there are two urls that go to the same page), it can be perceived as duplicate content to the search engines. This is something I definitely want to avoid. If that’s not the case though, and thus it doesn’t add an ‘additional’ url, this might be the solution.

With respect to shortening the url to read something “/nthcolorado/ftcollins,” I might have to take this option, but I’d rather not. Reason being is, ideally, I’d like to factor in the keyword phrase such as “fort-collins-real-estate” into the url for SEO purposes.

I’ve tried just slimming it down to /%postname%/ but I guess that only works with posts, not pages.

Thanks again for the help. I’m open to other suggestions.

    Thanks Oliver.

When I was working with cforms yesterday, I found links to the site link above, but not the forums. Thanks for posting these.

In reply to: Dynamic drop-down menu.

Here’s a pretty good SEF (search engine friendly) dropdown menu that I used on this client’s site https://www.FreshTracksTransportation.com recently. You can download the menu here: https://www.jillij.com/category/website-related/ (just scroll down ’till you see “Jillij theme version 11).

The only problem with this menu is that you can’t click the main links at the top of the dropdown menu, only within the dropdown menu, if that makes any sense. If you check out the site above, you should see what I’m talking about. I’m using version 9 of this dropdown menu, however, the menu author recently launched version 11 so hopefully the aforementioned issue isn’t, uhhh, an issue any longer. In any case, it’s a cool looking dropdown menu in Firefox.

    Good luck.

Yessssss, leo6663, that helped me perfectly.

    Thanks for everybodys input.

    Ciao.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I’m gonna give the kses file hack a shot.

    Thanks again.

Thanks doodlebee, this post really helped me out…and fast.

    Ciao.

    Hey apertureboy,

What version of WP are you using? I want to give that hack a shot. I guess you’re now able to drop in div tags and not have it rewritten by WP?

    Thanks.

Oh yeah, I’m using version 2.2.1

By the way, I’ve tried customizing the theme on each page by inserting div tags in the code area (which subsequently call the summer collage in the css file), but it keeps rewriting my code and turning the div tag into a p tag, thus messing it all up.

So yeah, if anybody knows how to successfully change the theme on individual pages, please please please share the wealth.

    Thanks.

I tried removing the undesirable code from the tiny_mce_config.php file (on the latest WP version), and while it worked, I lost edit controls. Meaning, I can’t use the included edit features, like Add Link, Bold, Paragraph, or even get to the code source editer. Anybody have a solid solution for the newer WP installations ’cause I think most of the code above was for older versions.

This code replacement thing is really killing me. How dare they replace my code, I know what I is doing. Dang.

    Any help would be nice.

    Thanks.
