Hi. I’m buying a custom domain on WordPress.com for $18/year and then they offer three plans (free, premium, business). I want to choose the free plan but that says I can’t have a custom site domain for that. Does that mean my site can’t have its own name (I.e. Example.com). Because it offers these three plans even after I choose my own custom domain. So what does it mean when it says in the free plan that it does not offer custom site domain?

I mean I have a store in my country that sells products. I want its own website which shows an online catalogue of products. There will be no online shopping involved. Just a catalogue showing all the products I have.

I don’t want to sell things. I have a store and I just want to show an online catalogue of my products. I do want my own domain as well (example.com and not example.wordpress.com). So what would you refer I start on?

I’ve coded websites manually before through html/css/javascript. I’ve never tried wordpress and so my questions might sound a little dumb but some help would be really appreciated on how i should get started!

I did go through the post. So for creating this website for an online catalogue of products, I should use wordpress.com, right?

each one of them has their perks. If i choose premium, i can have my custom site address and no ads while choosing the free plan says there will be ads on my website. They ask you which plan to choose when you first go on to start creating a website. Also, any idea on if i should buy the domain and host on bluehost and connect to wordpress or just make the site entirely through wordpress. I have no idea about this and would really appreciate some recommendations.
