To close the loop, the procedure described above for moving a blog to a new domain worked perfectly.

Just to close the loop on this apparent error. It appears to occur only when there are no links in the link database. I placed one link in the database and the error went away and has not re-appeared. The developers may want to take a look at that and code a branch that is error-free if no links are available.

Must be machine specific. I use FF 0.8 and have none of the characteristics y’all are describing.

Anon, I have no idea what the problem might be, but wanted to let you and the list know that I’m running Firebird 0.7 under Win98SE and the style switcher works fine.

Thanks. I’m not a programmer, but this is one awesome system for tracking changes. Wow. Is it okay to use “anonymous” as login, or is it better to use a username for tracking purposes? If username, how do you establish one (and password) ?

You’re welcome to use my blog as an example of a WP template that is based on CSS and that I think will display in any modern browser. I updated the template this morning. Will not be styled in Netscape 4x as the stylesheet is hidden from that browser. I know it displays as I intend in IE6, Mozilla 1.3, Firebird 0.6 (my browser of choice), and NN6.2. I would love to have feedback on issues in other browsers.

Since we’re making suggestions ;-), the post editing screen for b2 showed the username logged in in the upper right corner. A nice touch to quickly see if I’m logged in as admin or the user name I usually post under.
