Denis, I dont think you understand the nature of my question. I just want it to show that people are commenting. Something like — (2) Comments — . It used to do it on my WordPress sites, but not anymore. Dont know what the problem is.

Hmm… thats weird. I guess thats new to the New WP or something. I’m guessing the presence of the comment is supposed to show on the category page, but even that is not showing?

Hmm… I am having the problem with Technorati not picking up my posts anymore also. Searched on google and found this thread. Did anyone ever figure out what to do to get WP to ping technorati again? I am running a WP 1.5x blog and some 2.0 blogs.

Ok I got it by reading another old post. All I had to do was go to the permalinks section, and re-click “update permalink structure.”

This same thing just happened to me again, and I can’t remember how I fixed it last time.

Any ideas?

Flushing the cache didnt work.

hmm.. that was weird. I got it to work.
I had to click on the same thing “date and name based”, but also fill out the “custom structure”, and it worked.

It wasnt filling it out automatically like it was on other blogs.

I’ve changed it to 666 but it still doesnt work. Hmm.

I right click on the file in CUTEFTP and it says 777.

I just changed the permission and it still does the same thing..

Well, I guess I mis spoke. I tried deleting

<?php the_page_header(); ?>

from the “header” template, and it deleted my Ad Space too.

Any way of deleting the header without deleting the “header” Ad Space?

I actually hired a coder to help me out and I learned what I needed.

The one thing I dont like about votio, is that it appears to rank the posts according to avg. voting number. This means a post with one vote of 5, will beat out a post with 300 votes averaging 4.8. If there were some way to take into account the number of votes, as well as the average result…that would be nice. I would try and make this plugin if I were a coder…but I’m not so all I could do would be to help pay someone to do it…

After reading this thread again, I came across an issue I am struggling with currently. I like the header-background.jpg but I dislike not having the text on top for SEO. Would like the best of both worlds (as sminc appears to want).

I would like to know how to do what Denis says here:

How do I make this file? Is this all the code that goes in it?

ALSO.. Theres no way to put a .jpg (company logo) in front of the big text (the link to the homepage) in the default setup is there?
