Thanks for responding! I do not have any cacheing plugins activated. I created a ticket yesterday at robogallery.co, with screenshot showing the browser JS error.

It’s very strange, since I use Robo Gallery on another site without problems, same version. I thought at first it was a problem with the theme, but when I switched to 2021, I still couldn’t get the gallery to work.

I was able to add some CSS to access the submenu with my keyboard. To do this, I made the submenu “visible” by default, then changed the opacity according to focus state; 0 (hidden) and 1 (visible). Since opacity does not remove focusability the way visibility:hidden and display:none do, it seemed a better choice.

More than 2 weeks after I posted in Webriti’s support forum (for “pro” customers), I have not received a response yet. Perhaps you can assist me, since my inquiry affects the free version of this theme as well, and others may benefit from the official answer.

After a little more digging, I saw that I could change the opacity of the submenu to 1 in order to make it show when receiving focus. My only recommendation to make this theme better is to allow keyboard navigation by default, and to add a skip navigation link so that there is no need for another plugin.

My pleasure! I am trying to figure out how to make the menu accessible to keyboard navigation, without success. I adjusted the visibility setting via CSS for the submenu items so they are now focusable, but I cannot figure out how to display the submenu when those items receive focus. Can you help me with that?

Thanks for responding so quickly! After more testing, I have confirmed this is an issue with my paid theme, which is no longer being updated. I can switch to the Twenty Twenty theme to make edits, then switch back. I appreciate your mentioning the extra buttons that gave me direction to test.

Update, the shortcodes don’t work with Custom Roles, but they do work with built-in WP roles. They used to work with my custom roles created in UM.

Thanks for the tip, @natekinkead! That works for now, but I appreciate your willingness to add the feature I mentioned. I’m sure others may want to keep the anonymity of the current functionality, but the option to turn “on” the feature to show how specific users voted (with avatar or whatever), is extremely helpful in some applications.

I really like the simplicity and options of your plugin! I want to use this for a non-profit who has a Board of Directors who need to make decisions on things. The forum allows discussion, but eventually a vote would be made and the topic closed.

This keeps everything in one place rather than having to use multiple platforms.

Since I use optimized logo .png files that are around 10K each (even at 500px wide) with solid colors, the page loads fairly quickly, especially when caching is on. I’m sure those who use your plugin to display photos in their directory have a bigger challenge in terms of page load time.

I’d like to add that during the last quarter Google Analytics for my site is reporting iOS and Mac use alone at 23%. Since retina displays have been out for more than 7 years, I presume many of these people are using high resolution screens. Android users make up another 5%. So, I’d like to make sure the logos on my page are displayed the best way possible for all users.

Unfortunately, your CSS adds extra space around the logos which I cannot get rid of. CSS does not reveal any padding or margins, so I do not know how to adjust the spacing. I did notice much better resolution of the logo files, so apparently it is possible to get better quality when the plugin is serving up the exact same images. But, if I cannot adjust the spacing around the logos then I will have to settle for the low resolution display issues.

The problem as I understand it is that I want to accommodate high resolution displays (since they are pretty common now) and so I need to treat physical “on screen” dimensions separately from actual pixel dimensions of images. Physical dimensions of the logo area might be 300×200, but I need 600×400 pixel image to make it look decent on a high-res screen.

Am I making any sense?
