Great. Let me know if you find it, and I can possibly take a look and see what the issue was.
The plugin will work for both posts and pages. I have tested that it works on both.
Go to “Settings > Remove Spaces” and make sure that the check box for “Remove all duplicates” is checked. If it’s not, then the plugin is effectively disabled.
The only other thing I can think of is that another plugin or your theme is interfering with my plugin’s operation.

Does this work for what you want to do? All your posts will display with the double spaces removed, but will still remain as they were input in the database.
The plugin will collapse double spaces for any post regardless of when it was published. It only operates when the post is displayed, so the posts are still saved into the WP database as they were written (double spaces and all). This could be handy if you want the post to remain unchanged, but still only have one space displayed on the front end.
I originally tried testing having it run prior to saving to the database, but it ended up messing with the posts and I wasn’t able to fix it. Maybe in a future release…

In reply to: Double-space in articlesDon’t know if any of you are still having this issue or now, but I created a plugin that handles this: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/remove-double-space/
I have the same situation where multiple contributors will use differing amounts of whitespace between sentences. This simple plugin will replace any duplicate whitespace with a single space.
Let me know if this works for you, and if you run across any issues or new features you would like to see.

In reply to: [Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] Compatibility with 2.9.2?I did a fresh install of this plugin on another blog that had been upgraded to 2.9.2, and verified that it doesn’t work there either.
