In reply to: Remove rel = “noopener noreferrer” in wordpress 4.7.4The problem isn’t nofollow (since it doesn’t do that). The problem is affiliate links. Amazon requires the referral information for affiliates. Stripping out that data violates their TOS. If they can’t see where the link/click came from, I don’t know how they can then attribute the visit and any sales correctly.
It also seems to me that it would affect Google Analytics because the referring site information would be hidden. If I send traffic, nobody would be able to tell, and vice versa.
Thank you!
I am having the same problem. I switched to the new tracking script and re-authenticated, hoping that would fix it, but no joy. It’s been broken for weeks. I do see one click registered a few days ago (why that one?), with the full link information, but nothing else. I know there were more because I can see them in my affiliate report.
All good now! I think I’ll have a brownie to celebrate! Too bad I can’t push them through the interwebz to you.
Thanks for your quick response! I was just on the phone with them (it is HostGator) and they didn’t mention that. I will call them again.
OK.. turned out to be a bit tricky, but it’s working now. Thanks!!

In reply to: Visual Editor Not Working After 3.3 UpgradeI’m having the same problem. I don’t have any caching plugins. I tried flushing, I deactivated the plugins I do have, I switched to Twenty Eleven, and I tried two different browsers (Firefox and Safari). No joy.
Any other suggestions?Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: installation help for newbieOK, to answer my own question… Earthlink won’t let me do what I want. Their server is only set up to permit http: mydomain.com/wordpress. Grrr.
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: installation help for newbieOK, I figured out how to do it in the admin page of my hosting account (I think!).
It says https://mydomain.com/blog in both places, but when I hit “go” I get an error message that says:
#1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘% 2A FROM % 60wp_options % 60

In reply to: installation help for newbieI did change both URLS. Sorry for the typo. How do I get into my phpadmin account?
