    I guess I’m clear. Thanks.

I had not realized that the site licenses were annual fees and not outright purchases. I’m especially surprised by that, given the substantial price.

    Hi, thanks for the response.

I think we are on the same page regarding fractional pound sales without the measurement calculator. I have to enter a price per unit, where the unit is, for example, a half pound, and the customer enters the number of half pounds. This calls for some explanation on each product page. The displayed pricing from Woocommerce will still say $/lb, not $ per selected fraction of a pound.

Since you did not just say “yes” to 199-129, I’m not sure what you mean by pro-rated. If I buy a 1 site license at $129, can I then add 4 more sites for $70? Or is the upgrade price something different, like 4/5 * 199 = $159.20, putting the total for 5 sites at $288 (which is what “pro-rated” suggests to me)?

Thanks for the response. The sandbox site became inaccessible (completely different issue), so I can’t test your advice now. I will do so ASAP.
I had set up a test product, giving it a price per pound. I added it to the cart. I went to edit the cart to change the quantity. When I entered 0.5, I got a response window that the nearest values were 0 and 1.
I’m a little confused and surprised at the need for the Measurement Price Calculator. I was able to put in varying numbers of pounds of fish, priced per pound, and have it correctly display the total cost. I just was not able to put in a non-unit value for pounds.

Is there a way to directly enter a price per half pound? I know I can add a comment on the page to explain it, but that can get messy.

I see that the Measurement Price Calculator is $129/1 site and $199/5 sites. If I buy 1 site, can I later add 4 for the difference (199-129)?

About 8-10 hours after posting the original message, the background images in both Chrome and Firefox appeared. This was not as a result of anything I did, AFAIK. I am still concerned about this behavior, but at the moment it’s working.

    You’re absolutely right!
I think my confusion stemmed from the similarity in appearance of the dialog boxes for WP and Kompozer, but whose boxes have different meanings.

I did not realize that “title” was the equivalent of alt text on an image, and displayed on hover.

    Thanks!!

I’ve had this problem several times – at least my (mis)interpreter is set up for consistent behavior. ??

I don’t understand why you suggest that. I searched for the problem I was having and found a thread related to it. I added to the thread.

Had I not searched and posted a new thread, I would have expected reactions like “search before posting”. I would have sent this reply to you by email, but your name link is not to an email address.

OK, I saw in the Forum guidelines that you don’t want threads added to unless issues are identical. Mine may not be. I am starting a new thread as requested.

I played with the content of the WP link a little more. It seems that the critical difference is that the link format that works has a “>” after the link information and then the label text. In addition, if “title=” is left in it displays in the post as title=”Bronx Chapter” in hyperlink color.

So, to fix the WP generated link: move the title past the >, remove the title=” as well as the final .

WP really needs to fix this!

I am reposting the above, using the backticks to show the code.

    This is a link by WordPress: <a href="https://www.bxnspe.org" title="Bronx Chapter" target="_blank"></a>
Nothing to the right of the : shows on the post.

    This is a link using Kompozer: <a href="https://www.bxnspe.org" target="_blank">Bronx Chapter</a><br>
It works as expected, displays “Bronx Chapter” in hyperlink color and has the link underlying the text.

I am having the same problem. If I create a hyperlink using the link button in the Text window of a new post, it does not work.

Here’s what I found. The first set is using the Link button, it seems to be malformed. The second set was generated using the same information in the Kompozer web editor, then copied and pasted in. The Kompozer version works. The primary difference I see is the use of the title= text in the WordPress version.

The site is https://www.bxnspe.org, but I have not posted the example.
