In reply to: moving to a new hosting site – copying filesesmi,
I followed its direction…
it says
If database and URL remains the same, you can move by just copying your files and database.
If database name or user changes, edit wp-config.php to have the correct values.i have copied the whole directory from the old server and made the change to wp-config.php…

In reply to: moving to a new hosting site – copying filesif i have the whole directory copied to new server, do i still have to move the database manually?
I am sorry i’m not that expert…Thank you Eric!
It fixed it and now I have next and previous buttons stacked up together on the bottom of page… how do I make it look different? I want them to look exactly like the ones inTwenty Eleven theme’s single post page…Thank you!!
It’s perfect now!alchymyth,
I just added #colophon img { max-width: 100%;height: auto; } to css.
then I added
@media (max-width: 980px) {
.one-column #page {
max-width: 100%;
min-width: 100%;
}
}to the child css and it seems to be working now.
but the main navigation bar shift down a line even if there is space to expand.
any ideas how to fix this? I want all the menu items stay on one line if possible.oh, that’s right.. I just erased them from the child css.
any ideas why the default eleven twenty theme is not working on ipad and mobile phones?It’s under a test site.
Wow, it’s you!
Your posts have helped me a lot with other issues.
Thank you so much!!!!fyi:
I copied the whole @media section from the parent theme’s css and pasted it on the child theme css hoping this will put the good settings back… but this didn’t do anything.I fixed the 404 error. It was caused by permalink setting.
I am still working on the second issue…
How do I get the next and previous buttons on the page?
