Okay, I figured out something!

after disabling my hotlink protection, it works.
But what does that mean? What do I need to add to my hotlink protection to make it bypass wordpress?

oh I can get to wp-admin because that folder actually exists. the problem is with the other… virtual folders(?)

okay, so what I actually want is for comments from post id 33 to be displayed on my dashboard.

When I threw in the comment_template tag (with some modifications so it’ll work on a non-page/post page) it randomly chose to display comments from post id 29. How do I change that number to 33?

I read the “do not add” and I figured I wasn’t adding anything so I skipped over that.

so are you saying I should delete

I read over that, and I checked my wp-config.php.
it says define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’); exactly like that documentation said.

I’m going to delete them anyways because archive.php and archives.php is too confusing for me.

oh, so archives.php and links.php are both a type of page templates that if I don’t choose to use it, no one will see it?

then is it safe to delete these files from my theme folder?

oh my bad. the | wasn’t made by the script in the_content code but by another | further down.

but then how do I make the | show up IF there’s a more link and not show up if there’s no more link AND not be included as part of the more link?

if I do that, then the bar is going to get linked too, and I don’t want it to be included in the link.
