    Sorry, one last thing. In the above code you will want to suffix any function re-used on the admin side so it isn’t re-declared. Ex.

    function has_post_video_admin($post_id = null){

    global $post;

    if($post_id == null)
    $post_id = $GLOBALS[‘post’]->ID;

    $meta = unserialize( get_post_meta( $post_id, ‘_fvp_video’, true ) );

    if( !isset($meta) || empty($meta[‘id’]) )
    return false;

    return true;

    }

    Nevermind. It’s late and I wasn’t thinking about what my functions.php file could/couldn’t reference. For anyone with the same prob, just add this to your functions.php file:

    function has_post_video($post_id = null){

    global $post;

    if($post_id == null)
    $post_id = $GLOBALS[‘post’]->ID;

    $meta = unserialize( get_post_meta( $post_id, ‘_fvp_video’, true ) );

    if( !isset($meta) || empty($meta[‘id’]) )
    return false;

    return true;

    }

    It seems the other functions should work similarly well.

    Thank you very much for this plugin, sir. 5 stars!

    Hello there,

    If permission was denied for fopen, that means wordpress does not have full read/write permissions on your web server. Most popular web hosting companies, like Yahoo, automatically grant read/write permissions for all installations of WordPress to avoid problems like this. I would suggest calling your hosting service’s technical support and asking them how to install wordpress with full read/write permissions. This problem has been evaluated quite extensively in the WordPress community, and help can be found at this link if the server in question is yours (if you do not use hosting):

    Great, now I should almost certainly be able to help more. I checked the source and saw the div inserted but not the scripts to make it work. The way the scripts are inserted is by a function called get_post_ID that tells the scripts to be inserted on a specific page/post. I have a solution that would work by altering some of the code before installing (if it is a problem caused by faulty internationalization).

    Before we do that, will you try inserting the slide on another page with other plugins disabled and let me know if it displays? Just want to rule out conflicting plugins or a problem with the specific post/page ID.

    I’ve gone to manuka.am and all the subpages I can find without seeing the jcm_poros div you mentioned in the page source. Are you sure you haven’t removed it or is it on another page other than the homepage? I’d really like to help you with this but I have to see it inserted in the page at least. The code for the shortcode should insert the correct div’s into wordpress about 99% of the time. Did you possibly insert it on a page other than manuka.am?

    This may just be bad timing, but when I view the site now it tells me “Maintenance of the site has been suspended” and I am unable to view the source.

    That is definitely the correct div and I’ll give you some extra (hopefully useful) info for when the site is back up.

    There are two scripts that must be inserted in the header for the plugin to work: poroslider_vars.js and poros_client.js. When you view the source, click on the first one (poroslider_vars.js) for me and paste the content here. It should contain the links to all the images you are using, etc. Also, paste the poros div you mentioned as well as two of its parent divs (if its a lot of content, just paste one).

    It would be much easier if I could view the source myself but I’m still getting the Maintenance suspended message from your host. Hope to resolve this with you soon.

    Hi there,

    Normally I would be faster to respond but I’ve had some issues with the ISP in my area lately. I’ve taken a look at the page but it appears you’re currently using another slide plugin. I would have to see the page as it is with my slide inserted so I can view the source and see what info has been written. My ISP will be stable again on 12/3/12, so in the meantime I apologize if the support isn’t prompt enough but I can promise to respond at least within 24 hrs until then (normally I’d respond within 6).

    Again, as long as I can see the page with the slide shortcode currently inserted I should be able to offer a solution.

    Could you send me a link to the page you’re inserting the slide on? The way the plugin is written, it’s either a theme conflict or you don’t have permission from WordPress to write to the server. Are you the only user in WordPress making edits?

    If you send me the link I’ll investigate the theme problem and respond quickly, but in the meantime, who are you using for web hosting, or is it your own server?

    Hey Todd,

    So just to be clear, you’ve saved all your settings for the plugin and when you try to display the page on the client side using [poros_show] on a page or post, all you get is a white page? Do you see an area at all where the slide show should be?

    One thing you may want to try is making sure you have clicked “Save Changes” on every tab, even if you haven’t adjusted the settings on that tab, this would just assure you the slide settings are being written properly.

    Could you send me a link to the page you’re trying to insert the slide on so I can take a look?
