Hi, I get it at the very beginning after I enter my id and key. I even wiped it (per the instructions) and set up another project with a new id and key. I entered those and got the same message. I did follow the setup guide and everything went fine from the Google end, and I got an id and key displayed. I copied and pasted and rechecked the numbers. I will try it again and report back. It is probably something from my end, but I don’t know enough to troubleshoot. Thanks.

Thanks so much. It worked great. I have spent several hours looking for a solution and trying different things. I do have one more question if you don’t mind. What if I want to stack side widgets and want some space between them? I tried just adding your code to the head and footer tags and nothing happened, so I did exactly as you said and it worked. Now, I assume all my widgets will have no space…even my side ones. Thanks.

Thanks for responding. The problem is in the header and footer widget area, so it is on most pages. I am still working on the site, so I will send you the link to one of the more completed pages. I think it might be in the li tag used to set up the widget area, but I have no idea how to adjust it. I seem to remember <h1, h2, h3,…> tags have pre-defined spacing, so I am thinking it might be similar but I am just learning WordPress and how to change it. I am using a child theme and the theme allows custom css. The problem is when I look at the theme template, I can’t find the part to edit. Again thanks for taking the time to help.

I found the problem. By default, accessibility mode is enabled under screen options on the widget page. If I disable it then I get all my location drop downs and page controls foe each individual page. If it is enabled you don’t get those drop downs and page controls. I tried several different themes and plugins and could not get them to work. All worked once I disabled the accessibility mode. An experienced user might have found it right off, but as a beginner, it was confusing. I suggest the default mode be disabled not enabled.

Yes, my map showed up, but I chose the popup window and added some text to show up, and my popup doesn’t work. I just have the map with cities on it. I am new at this, so I may not have created the map correctly. The instructions were pretty vague. I made a small square over the dot that marked my city on my map. Does that sound correct? Thanks.

I have a similar question, but I want to open some text in a sidebar. I have an imagemap of our state with the different cities where our schools are located. I have been able to click on the town and the city name pops up, but I’d like it to open in a sidebar with the project summary. This is how I want people to see our previous years’ projects. I am brand new at this so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same problem. There is no image map to insert, but I can go to my plugin and see it.

How do I get my “Presentation” page to function as my “Home” page? If I click “Home” page in my menu, it takes me to a default template…not my Presentation page. If I am on another page, I have to click on my logo to get back to my “Presentation” page. I do not have it set as a static page because I want the slider to work.
