Thanks for the info. I did create an event template, but it helped only a little. With the template in place, I was able to remove the bottom navigation (nav_below) and that reverted the page to the white background that we needed. But the problem still exist, we just have a hack in place to get around it.
When the bottom nav is active, it appears that the main body gets rendered within the footer style (which has a dark background). But with that code removed, it falls under the main content and shows on a white background. Analyzing the code I haven’t figured out why ‘nav_below’ ends up forcing the entire page to use a dark background.
