I have checked and in the Home Page you can customize the theme. In post settings, don’t select “Show excerpts on Home Page”. However I haven’t been able to do this for categories or tags…

I answer myself just in case it’s helpful for more people:

– Editor -> style.css
– Add display:none in adt-comment

.adt-comment{float:right;padding-right:16px;display:none;}

Hello Steve,

Thanks for the recommendation, I would give it a try but after knowing what is failing now. Before the last version of WordPress everything run smooth. I haven’t found any error in logs, so this makes it harder to identify why after the upgrade to version 4.6 everything is so slow.

@web2033 Yes I know, doesn’t restrict indexing. I was just pointing out it’s the only plugin I have to help crawlers “know” the desirable way to index the content. I assumed that since I don’t include tags and categories in the sitemap, Google wouldn’t index them.

@vikas, I would give it a try. Even I thought of Add Meta Tags plugin for that purpose.

Just wanted to know if there was any other way of achieving it without adding any plugin. But if not, I will take a look at some plugins (like Yoast or Add Meta Tags)
