Thanx for your help.Hello, having beginner trouble.I’m new to this plug in and video for wordpress. I could use some help, and here’s what I tried.
I used the MIRO Video converter for a wmv to format into webm and mp4, The results of the same vid are; INTRO_2CM.webmvp8 and INTRO_2CM.mp4video.
Then stored them at the hosting site (bluehost.com) via Filezilla.
The path looks correct in the video directory for this plugin;
/home1/teachit9/public_html/videos
In html mode I individually inserted these short codes with no luck in ie, chrome or firefox;
[video webm="INTRO_1CM.webmvp8.webm"] – no video appeared.
then I tried the short code,
[video mp4="INTRO_1CM.mp4video"]
then I tried the short code,
[video file="INTRO_1CM"]This would be helpful. I like what he did. I’ll be watching for help on this.
newgreenshade,
I’m not getting any change in my enlarged image of the thumbnail with your tips?
Clicking on a thumbnail in the gallery brings up the thumbnail image that fills the entire screen and scrolling down is required.
I went into Manage gallery and also Option>Images to try the re-sizing.
Is there a different file or area in the dashboard for nextgen that should be adjusted?Thanx
MiKe,
Sure, the screen shots for the gallery plugin settings sound helpful.
Will this be the following or others:
Editing nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php
and
nextgen-gallery/view/gallery-caption.phpAgain, I’m interested in your sequence – “clicking on a thumbnail & going to the image with text, and if you click on the image you go to the jpeg.”
Thank you
JoeHello Mike,
With your 3rd point, seems as though you have a jeanie in a bottle? I’m guessing the screen shots you mention will be from your work in editing the gallery-caption.php file that you describe in pt. 4, and sure I’d like a look?
Thanx, JoeMike,
The caption info was helpful. I visited your site and really like the set-up for clicking on a thumbnail & going to the image with text, then clicking takes you to the jpg. I’d like some help on how to do this, and I suppose the editing takes place in a php page? I’m interested in having the image smaller with a paragraph or 2 of text with it.
Thanx, JoeI’m looking to setup a gallery with nextgen. Is it possible to have a paragraph of text (100 plus words) with a photo in the gallery? Does a link to a new page need to be created (is it possible) by clicking on a thumbnail? Any tutorials about it? Also, is using the NextGEN Smooth gallery plug-in with it helpful?
Thanx, Joe
