In reply to: [Newsletter Sign-Up] [Plugin: Newsletter Sign-Up] WordPress RegistrationHi Dan, i have included your newsletter plugin in my website although when i validate the site, the plugin is causing error messages to appear.
One the of the main ones is the use of the h3 tag for the widget title, is there anyway to remove the h3 tag?
Thanks

In reply to: altering widget areaHi i followed that tutorial but was a little confused as i have no knowledge of php whatsoever! I have found a way to achieve the look that i want using the footer widget areas that come as standard.. do u know an easy way for me to turn of certain widgetised areas in specific pages? (For example I want to use a newsletter plugin just on the home page, although obviously when I install it its appearing on every page!)

In reply to: altering widget areaNo, i mean the 6 widget areas that come with the tweny ten theme ( I think 3 widgetised areas are in the sidebar and three are in the footer). I would like to move one of the widget areas to the header, is this possible? Also what php file do you alter if you want the widgets to appear on one page and not another?
Thanks! (Sorry, Im a designer and I know html but I have never used wordpress before, im finding it difficult to get my website to look the way that I want).
Haha you look familiar! Thanks, il have a look at the link you posted! I am using wordpress for a university project and am completely new to all this. Loved the widget that you created, it was just what i needed!

In reply to: Creating a child theme stylesheetI have a visualisation that i need to follow so i will probably change quite a few things relating to layout, colour schemes etc, i know i will find it easier to change things if i have the whole file in front of me.. i just wanted to make sure copying everything over wont cause any issues?

In reply to: Creating a sub menubasically this si what it is saying.. is this ok…
The template files are located in /themes/twentyten. The stylesheet files are located in /themes/twentytenchild. Twenty Ten Child uses templates from Twenty Ten. Changes made to the templates will affect both themes.

In reply to: Creating a sub menuThanks, thats been really helpful.. i will try both your suggestions tomorrow! Quick question, if you are creating a child theme, is it possible to just copy all the files from twentyten into a new directory (twentytenchild) and change the info in the styleseet heading or do you NEED to use the @import function?

In reply to: Creating a sub menuI have already made some minor modifications to the twenty ten theme :/ I will follow your advice and start again thanks for letting me know this! As for my earlier qiestion, any idea?
