after 70 days of ok performance [silhouette theme] i’m suddenly getting the following message when i try to upload images to posts :

Unable to create directory /nfs/c03/h01/mnt/47986/domains/www.housingcrisis.com/html/wp-content/uploads/2008/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

can you help me understand why this is occurring and what to do about it?

ok… patience now, i’m really dumb… it’s all the text on the front page, including both sidebars and the main index … is there an area in stylesheet to address this? thank you
