Never mind – it works just fine once I understand the directions.

For others –
Set Event time for when the event actually is happening.
Add Event time/date info to post
Leave time stamp for when you added it.

Let me know when you find out – I get a double scoop of front page instead of a calendar of any kind. <sigh>

Update – it works great! The support from the author is also wonderful. I am a complete NOOB and I could still make it work ??

whooami – Not everyone is a tech, as it is has been said before. I am trying to figure out if I am allowed to upgrade my WP or if my host has control over what version I use. I am asking questions in these support forums, as well as RFMing, and otherwise seeking out the information so I *can* learn how to drive WP…AFTER I read through the docs. I’m not saying the information is not in there, but when I first read through it, I did not understand what it was talking about. Now, after playing with WP for awhile, it is making more sense.

I greatly appreciate the help I have received from other users, moderators and plug-in authors.

I agree that a responsible webmaster needs to either learn, or use an OTB setup. Just have a little patience with those of us who are still learning. And for those of us who do this “for fun” in our spare time, it may take a little longer to learn.

…but, when I have the same issue – I use my Firefox extension that allows me to view source to tell me what file that is hiding in (along with a host of other information)

It also allows me to steal…err…borrow, yeah that’s it, BORROW code from other sites when I find some little thing that would be nice to have on my site.

If you were here I’d buy you a cup (coffee, beer, whatever)!!!

I thought I did follow directions. HOWEVER I tried it again following your step by step above. I came up with a different result, so I apparently missed something the first time around.

I still apparently have things to learn, but at least it is trying to be a directory now ??

Now I just have to resolve this error –
https://mydomain.com/news/wp-content/uploads/Events is an invalid directory path, or not in the webserver document root ‘https://mydomain.com/&#8217;. The path specified in WDN_Directory must be an absolute path below the document root, such as ‘/library/docfiles/’.

Thanks for the help Michael. When I started this project I had never heard of WP, php or the like. I am learning a tremendous amount, thanks to you and the other kind folks in the WP community.

I don’t care as long as it can be configured to only email people who are authorized as it would be for premium content.
