Excellent! Happiness!
I just discovered this feature and had problems when I set it to “Page IS Main” where Main is the name of the page that my blog posts show on. It doesn’t make sense to be given this option if it doesn’t work. It failed to display the widget on any of the pages that it normally shows up on. Change it to “Page IS Posts” worked, but it’s very confusing.
Still no work-around for this. I contacted the author via Twitter and he responded that he would look into it, but haven’t seen an update. Anyone else being inconvenienced by this?
Thanks, that Chrome plugin is very handy!
That sounds a little different than my problem. If a post is published immediately I don’t have problems over-riding the default, it’s only when I schedule for future publication that it gets reset to the default.
Thanks! I’ll keep plugging away until I get a handle on this stuff. I KNOW I will! ??
I understand. With more folds developing with the web in mind you might keep it in mind for a future product. Thanks for the response.
I think there must be a step I’m missing. I created the custom link and clicked ‘Add to Menu’ but it did not show up on my web page. I know you can create custom menus under the Appearance/Menu section, but I haven’t done that, I just created pages under the Page tab and they’ve been automatically added to the menu. I just want to add a custom page/link or two to the same menu system. Thanks.
