When I chose center alignment in the media uploader screen, it centers the image in the backend, but when I publish the post, the images are not centered on the actual post.

Alright, so I was able to get it working. I read on another website that WordPress will error if your backup file is larger than 8MB regardless of your PHP settings.

I found a Windows tool called WXR Splitter that allowed me to split the 12MB file into two smaller files and they imported just fine.

Hope this helps someone who has the same issue I was having.
