Resetting to custom did the trick. Thank you. Since I’ve chosen creative writing, which do I use for viewing content? I’ve tried content as well as creative.

I haven’t changed anything since installation of the plugin. I have only added the social plugin and set it up. I will work with it some more and see if I figure anything out. But so far no luck. It is telling me that the WriteShare pages cannot be found. I have custom links to /write/ /profile/ and others but none of them work any longer.

I am going to use something else and will let you know. Question I have now is if I choose to use a social network plugin with WriteShare, how do I set it up to where I can let the social plugin control registration and login/logout vs WriteShare? I am still trying to decide if I want to use a social plugin with it as WriteShare is ready out the box to allow users to join and control everything.

I have used Elementor and Site Origin Page Builder. I love those as far as customizing themes. I was just asking to see if you knew of any out the box that you preferred using that you may have used from the get go. Twenty Seventeen def looks like a great possibility. I will play around with them and see what I come up with. One last question, which social plugin do you prefer to pair with WriteShare? I have used BuddyPress, WPSymposium, and Peepso. Any recommendation based on experience?

The update did fix it. It was cutting off the images. Not sure why one day it worked and then today I noticed it didn’t. Thanks.

In order to modify the contents of the boxes @bezwiary go to https://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/customize.php?theme=embr and in the Customize page, you want to edit the Static Front Page options…Front Page Welcome, Front Page Left Product Section, Center Product Section, Right Product Section.

Nevermind…I figured out another way to do it and it works great. Thanks for the help.

That did work even though I didn’t use a mu-plugin. I guess what I need to do now is customize the sign in page because I want it to look like a full blown image background with the login and register link on it. Kind of like on tumblr or facebook etc.

I am using the plugin Branded login screen plugin which does exactly what I want when logging out of the site…and with WordPress Access Control plugin set to Make Blog Members only, it gives me the wp-login.php page exactly like I want but when I click on the register button, because the blog is set to members only, it just refreshes the screen and shows the same wp-signup.php page disallowing anyone to register.

David…Thanks for the input. I already have copied the wp-signup.php file into my themes director as well as created a signin page before posting my original post.

The problem I am having is that I get a blank white screen once doing as you said. That is why I posted about using htaccess to do the redirect.

I apparently do not know enough about the coding of WP to make the signin template solution work.

You may want to look up custom landing pages. There are plugins that will do what you are wanting.

Yes. I have this line defined with all the rest of the defines in wp-config.php

define(‘DISABLE_WP_CRON’, true);

I am using Unix cron script on the server that I manually configured. I am not using WP Cron.

I am still having the same issue. I just installed the update that was released today 2.7.8. It is sometimes double and triple posting on Facebook. I have seen it go as much as 4x at once.

I am not sure why this is…but do you have any suggestions?
