    Hi Gioni
That works and I can get into the site with wp-cerber active that way but the original problem when changing the login url is still there. Is it possibly a conflict with Wordfence and the login attempts limiting feature in that plug-in is it?
    Thanks
    Jon

    Hi Gioni
Thanks once again for your very prompt reply.
I have followed your instructions but unfortunately when you reinstall the plug-in, clear the custom login url and uncheck the Disable wp-login.php the same problem arises and I get a 404 error on the next login at wp-admin.
I don’t think it’s the theme that is causing the problem as I have another site using the Genesis framework and all the same other plug-ins and everything works fine. The only difference with this site is that it has a different host server. I’ll try their support desk and see if they have some security feature that may be causing the conflict.
In the meantime, if you have any other suggestions I’d be most grateful.
    Thanks
    Jon

Many thanks for this. As someone who doesn’t know much about PHP I sometimes need a helping hand.
Many thanks for the prompt reply.

By the way, I’m really pleased with the success that WP Cerber has been in protecting my login. Great plugin. I’ll certainly get the Plugin Inspector as suggested.

    Thanks

    Jon
