First of all try checking the website with a new browser or clear cache and cookies on your browser and try again, it might be a browser issue.

if that doesn’t fix your issue:

What under construction plugin are you using? Check its compatibility with WordPress 4.1/4.2 in the plugin page and make sure it is up to date and you have the latest version.

if you have the latest version:

Can you try another under construction plugin?

If you copied back the wp-login.php file and you still have a blank page then most probably the issue comes from another part.

You get a blank page without errors because you have your website set for production where errors are not displayed.

To fix this issue first of all you need to set your WordPress to show error messages and depending on the error recived different steps for fixing the issue/issues have to be taken.

For information about error reporting and debuging please refer to the Debugging in WordPress codex page. You will find there all the info needed to get errors displayed.

This is a theme thing (it’s not an issue…) it seems your theme stripts some html tags that other themes (the 2 that you used are good examples) don’t so you will not be able to use some html tags on this themes comments section without modifying the theme. Unfortunelty modifying premium themes is not supported here as we don’t have access to the code nor the license.

And I see some line breaking before the end of the row I’m guessing that they are made using the enter key? what I’m trying to say is that there might be other ways you can obtain the same effect as a line break…

sorry for only speculativ info but this is how things are with premium themes :).

It’s common to have all wordpress files in your web accessible space with apache user and group set as their owner.

But this is not the best approach at all times. Check this codex page: Hardening_WordPress.

Thanks KristoferB for your sugestion, at this point I’m using drag and drop featured image for this as I have my image on current computer but I need to develop a solution like the one you describe for future posts.

Do you have any Cache plugin? Can you reproduce the issue without plugins?

I stayed on the page for more then 1 hour and no redirect.

This type of redirect can be possible only throw javascript. That javascript can be brought only by a plugin or the theme (the default wordpress install with a default wordpress theme doesn’t have this issue). If you can reproduce this issue with the default wordpress install and the default theme then I’d reinstall wordpress(overwrite wordpress wp-include and wp-admin folders using ftp).
Also can you share the page source that you get before the browser redirects you from a page?

Using a ftp client you can check file permissions please give a read to this file so you’ll understand what is happening and what you have to do to fix this issue.

I can’t replicate the issue, I’ve staied on that page for quite some time … I didn’t got redirected to a new page… can you try with a different browser/computer?

I don’t think the upgrade caused this but I can’t be sure… Do you have access to webserver logs? if you do check them for errors… if not, let me know and we’ll think at other debugging steps…

I see, now I get what the issue is. Do you have any cache plugin? if you do after making changes to your settings/website make sure clear the plugin cache.

Strange … I can’t access it from 2 browsers or my phone … I’ll have to let someone else help with this … sorry ??
