Ok, that makes sense. However, I’m not comfortable editing the database. The developers need to be addressing this issue for their everyday users who can’t jump through hoops to fix the plugin’s errors. =/

I’m officially giving up on iThemes Security. I decided to delete the plugin folder via FTP, and then I installed the latest iThemes 4.0.7… and I was immediately logged out of wp-admin, with the same redirect issue as before. =/ Sad to have to leave, but unless the developers reply here with an official fix, I’m out.

I’d say I’m glad I’m not the only one with this problem, but obviously I wish we weren’t dealing with this in the first place.

To clarify – the issue (mine and many others on this thread) is that we’re getting redirected to the homepage after “login”. There’s no 404 error, just a redirect – from all things /wp-admin back to the homepage. As with jamesewelch’s situation (though he’s actually seeing a 404), there’s also no admin toolbar on the site after “logging in” and being redirected to the homepage.

I hope we get some answers from the developers. Radio silence is quite disconcerting. Thinking of just deleting better-wp-security via FTP and finding a new security plugin. This has not been handled well.

I’m not familiar with mySQL database, sorry… But I installed WP Crontrol and here is what it tells me:

hourly 3600 (1 hour) Once Hourly
twicedaily 43200 (12 hours) Twice Daily
daily 86400 (1 day) Once Daily
clfortnightly 1209600 (2 weeks) Twice Monthly

It also gives me the option to delete the twicedaily schedule.

Oddly enough, though, I was just able to delete the old version that had caused the error, and I tried reinstalling (knowing I could fix it via FTP if it did the same thing again)… and it works now. Backs up just fine and everything, no issues. I’m hoping it stays working properly! Feels good to have my site properly backed up again.

Yes! That’s exactly what I needed. Thank you so much, Andrew!

    Ok, I’ll try the plugin…

But the demo website doesn’t achieve what I’m looking for – it does exactly what my own site does. I don’t want the top navbar to stay visible while the rest of the page scrolls under it. I’d like the nav bar to scroll up with the rest of the page (disappear when you scroll down).

When I tried it, I edited the stylesheet in Appearance > Themes > Editor > style.css
