I don’t have time for an in depth look at the moment, but just thought I’d post you a quick note that at a glance it looks quite nice and seems to work fine in Safari. Nice work so far!

I would have to agree with moshu. The first page is too long, so perhaps a 3 column theme is what you need. And on high speed it was a tad slow loading.

In regard to the colour scheme, to my eye, calendar, background colour and your header all do not go together and give the site a disjointed feel. I think just choosing different colours that worked well together would quickly give the site an overall better feel. And then perhaps consider a 3 column theme or some reorganization to shorten up your first page.

It is quite a nice site overall though, and I think these couple adjustments will really bring it together.

Looking at it on Mac right now and it seems to look fine in both Firefox and Safari.

This site does reviews of web hosts: https://www.webhostmagazine.com/ There’s also a forum out there specifically for discussing web hosts, but I can’t remember its url off hand.

Go here https://www.sreejith.net/ If it doesn’t look similar to what you’re looking for, then scroll down until you see the Style Switcher in the sidebar and choose Dark Grey Lines. Those are all WordPress themes at that site, and that one might be very close to what you’re looking for. I think they are all available for download, but you will have to check with them to be sure.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed with all this stuff. I would not worry about plug-ins right now. It seems you very much want to personalize the look of your blog. You can do this yourself, by tweaking one of the themes that came with WordPress. You can go here https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/graphicalcss/ for some useful info on how you might get started with that. That can be a bit daunting though, especially if you’re already feeling overwhelmed by WordPress.

A better option for you might be to try and find an already existing theme that is close to how you’d like your blog to look, and start by using that. There are a lot of great themes out there. Try looking here https://themes.wordpress.net/ for a good start, and there are many other sources to find nice themes. If you find one you like, you can then get your blog started at least, and then think about making other changes, like adding plug-ins.

I hope that helps you a little bit at least. I know it’s frustrating when you first start and have no idea what you’re doing (I’m not too far past that stage myself!) . Good luck!

That’s a shame and disturbing to hear, because their service has always been excellent. I sincerely hope this isn’t a sign of things to come, because I tend to recommend them as well and was planning on expanding my plan with them in the near future.

A friend hosts a fairly active forum with LP that I help run and we’ve always found them to be incredibly stable and had no problems. But, hearing from you that support has been unresponsive and rude recently is not good news and I hope they turn things around because excellent service is what made them as a company.

I know you’re incredibly frustrated and probably feel like you’d just lose it if you posted over there, but I do think it would be a good idea to post about this in their forums. Besides, they need to hear about this kind of stuff. If worded well without simply sounding like an angry rant, I think it’s very contructive for these things to be out in the open, and there does seem to be some very helpful people around at lunarforums. Just a thought, and I’d understand if you’d really rather not.

Good luck with your problem. I hope it gets sorted out asap.

“The site presently linked to (MUDDHONEY) actually has a live theme switcher…”

Ooops, so it does! How very unobservent of me.

I quite like the Emerson theme and will definitely download it. I don’t have an immediate use for it so I couldn’t be a live demo, but if that changes I’ll certainly let you know.

I’ve had no problems, but I’m just starting to figure out WP and my blogs are in the very early, formative stages. i.e. not very active at all. Things haven’t been slow when fiddling with them though.

Have you posted about this in https://www.lunarforums.com ?

I really like the overall look of your theme a lot. Everything looks great. I only have one small complaint. The flashing link near the top of your sidebar (the one with the flashing question mark, that says Eventbon, Klik hier…) is distracting and grows annoying very quickly. I think your site would be much better without it. Other than that, it looks very nice!

Very nice themes! Thanks for working so hard to keep them updated. ??

Just thought I’d let you know your Emerson live demo link is linking to the Anthology live demo.

I guess you solved your alignment problem? The horizontal menu is lining up over that little bar for me and it looks really good. Nice header! The links, however, didn’t do anything when I clicked on them. I don’t know if you just don’t have them set up yet or not.

A problem I’m seeing on your blog though, is that your sidebar is way down at the bottom underneath all your posts, rather than on the side. I’m viewing it using Safari on a Mac.

Otherwise, looks like a very nice design. Good luck with it! ??

I’m currently using this tuturial to familiarize myself with editing themes and I’m finding it to be incredibly helpful. It breaks down the various parts of the WP default theme and teaches you how to edit that theme to customize it.

That seems really nice and clean looking. Very pleasing to the eye.

I am noticing one problem when viewing it using Safari on my Mac. The text is butting right up to the border on the right side. It looks fine on the left.

Seems to work fine in Safari. Nice job on the theme!
