I already did this with edit author slug plugin.

And the behaviour is the one described in my last comment. I’d appreciate if you could please be a bit more specific on what I should do to make it work properly. Otherwise I’ll might need to change to another plugin.

I tried what you suggest, and if this option is disabled, user sees “author” URL (https://elefantezen.com/autor/elena-martinez-blasco/), but with wrong page – not the one of your plugin, just simple wordpress default profile page.

However, if this option is enabled, user sees “user” in URL (https://elefantezen.com/autor/elena-martinez-blasco/) and UM profile page, as you can see here: https://elefantezen.com/user/elena-martinez-blasco/

What I’d like is having AUTOR in URL -not user- (https://elefantezen.com/autor/elena-martinez-blasco/), with the content of UM profile page – not wordpress default.

Answering to your question, Registration options are (translating from Spanish, English version might be different)
1. Register status: Automatic approval
2. Action after registration: Redirect to profile

However, I noticed that in the default profile assigned to members (ie. Author), within Profile Access section (UM > user roles > role), “can this role make his private profile” was unticket…not sure if this may be related to the issue.

I am aware social icons can be displayed in the header of profile page. You can see here I already have it enabled: /erodriguez/

What I mean, is being able to show social icons in the article/post page (ie. /que-es-mindfulness/), within author box. I do not see the option with your plugin, just wanted to confirm if this functionality is available or not. For example, this other plugin covers this (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/simple-author-box/), but I’d like to avoid using unnecessary modules if possible.

There was a conflict with this plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/schema-and-structured-data-for-wp/), I just disabled it and works fine now.
