Hi! This topic has been marked as resolved and I don’t know why and if there is a solution. Newest versions of EM had not solved it. Could you please give some feedback on this?
Thank you!
Hi Marcus, could you please tell us how is it going? I’ve seen that this feature is not yet included in the latest updates.
Thank you so much!
Nice, thank you so much! I’ll be expecting for news!
Let’s see if Marcus could help us!
Hi Marcus,
I have created again the seconday pages (I had deleted some things in secondary language to not show that errors) to show them to you.
Here you can see the same event in both languages, both have locations:
Here you can see the map in both languages. In spanish version “No hay actividades programadas en esta ubicación” says that there are no events on that location. Check the location of the event I’ve linked before.
And finally here you can see how the code #_LOCATIONNEXTEVENTS is also not working on secondary language events. On the links, same location page, both languages, and only catalan (main lang) sows upcoming events. Check under the map on “Properes activitats / próximas actividades”:
And as you have seen before, the event is correctly translated.
Hope you could help me! Thank you!
no, that’s not the problem, I’ve checked it and and also events pages on secondary languages, shows the location on the map correctly, so #_LOCATIONNEXTEVENTS should show upcoming events…
any idea? Thank you!
Well, looks like an issue more about “Events Manager and WPML Compatibility” plugin than an issue WPML could solve… anyway I’ve contacted them but I’ll be plased if you could help me.
Thank you!
Well, I have it all under the same domain.
Domain.com for the main language and
Domain.com/es for the secondarySo this must be the folder option you said and it should be possible but i can’t find the option… Could you please tell me how to do this?
Thank you!
same happens to me, is there any fix? If I could help with my configuration or whatever, please let me know.
btw… that post is marked as solved, is it an error or is there a fix?
Thank you in advance!
Well, I don’t agree completely with you, and first of all, I’m not the developer.
I agree that you should keep on your project, and if you can’t, close it.
For a long time I’ve been using a completely free and amazing multilingual plugin, but the developer could not handle to find time to update it. It’s a kick for all the users, sure, but I know that time is the most valuable thing in life, and first of all you should spend it in something that gives you money to eat. Right? Sure you do this too.
My point is that good things require work, and work must be paid. For that reason, I switched that plugin to another one which is not free, and I paid for that. As I also pay for templates I use and other services. This way I’m sure I’ll have support and updates and I can demand on the developers.
I understand that a project like a plugin must have support, but I think that while it’s a free plugin, anybody can force the developer to work on it.
What bothered to me on Sho-Down was the lack of respect to somebody who gave his time for free. And instead of spending time blaming on him, he would better search for an alternative. Nobody forces us to use this plugin. It’s free, you can’t complain about it, and if you do, pay the developer a beer. I also like to get paid for my job.
As I am in this thread, my language also uses this characters and I have this problem. That troubles me but I can’t force nobody to work for free, so instead of complaining I’ll search for an alternative if I need to.
Sho-down… you should read before posting. It’s said that the problem is UTF8 àèìòù characters, so you could avoid using them. It’s not really broken.
And you should shut up and show a bit of respect for those developers who work for free and allow you to use that kind of useful plugins. Your words are totally selfish… you should consider donating to the developer instead of writing unrespectful posts like that.
i’m also interested in on it!
it all happens when you enter a long text on disclaimer… try to put a smaller text and it will work.
To developers, instead that it works, please fix or add a limit to the textfield!! Thank you!
same to me, subscribed!
please help!
using all latest versions!
