In reply to: Uploaded WP files to GoDaddy – but now I'm stuckHi all – I came across a YouTube video that helped me with my situation. The app icon in GoDaddy is deceiving due to it being labeled as blog. So I followed the YouTuber’s instructions as he used that for building his website which was not blog based. Thank you for the help.
Here is the series of videos that I followed so far. Hope they help out someone else.

In reply to: Uploaded WP files to GoDaddy – but now I'm stuckI have made the changes as instructed in the wp-config.php file.
I re-downloaded the database to be a SQL file versus a CSV file and uploaded that to the root and not in a specific folder.
I went back to the domain_name/wp-admin/install/php and still receive the Error establishing a database connection message.
Thoughts? Next steps?

In reply to: Uploaded WP files to GoDaddy – but now I'm stuckThe first step in the directions is to download WP and then upload those files to your root in GoDaddy. That would be the migration that I did.
I have exported the database – can you advise on the next step? Do I upload it into a specific file on the root of the domain?
How do you change the site url in your database? Where do I locate wp_options table?
Thank you for your help.

I tried it again after I created a new database and deleted the first one I did. Now I receive this message…
Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down. Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running? If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.
I did do a check of the database and it came up with no errors.
