I just got the update for 1.2.8, but noticed the repo says it’s closed as of 7/31. Is there a new issue?

I contacted Patchstack and they said it was an incomplete patch. Please recheck the report page for updates from them.

I’m not sure what other details I can provide. The link at Patchstack says versions 1.1.3 and below are vulnerable. I assume that’s a mistake since you’ve updated it, but I don’t know how to let Patchstack know.

Ah okay. I thought I saw in a video that the Settings is where you changed the attributes to use images. I figured it out now though. Thanks!

Thanks for your quick response. Apparently I didn’t check closely enough because I found all ZIP Codes for one state were not checked to apply tax to shipping! I exported all orders and looked more closely at it and noticed the pattern that it was happening to just one state. I swear I had looked closely at that and it wasn’t apparent. All fixed now.

@embercide One was AutomateWoo, which I haven’t even set up yet. I just installed it with the intenions of swapping it out for Follow-Up Emails. So I’m not sure why it was running crons that were failing. I also noticed I last updated it on Feb. 7, which is when my CPU started to spike. I uninstalled it and am hoping that fixes it.

The other was BackupBuddy (now Solid Backups by SolidWP). I didn’t realize it, but I could even see in their diagnostic tool that multiple crons were running every 10 seconds. I just had to do housekeeping/cleanup to fix that.

You can also check the Action Scheduler’s own admin screen (Tools > Scheduled Actions) for large numbers of pending actions.

I’ve spent a ton of time trying to diagnose high CPU usage and I’ve never seen this advice. I found two plugins with crons gone wild. Crossing my fingers I’ve now fixed it!

@fierevere – it appears that whomever is supposed to be monitoring this support forum is absent and a totally different company / website is “in charge of” the Pro version. But the support links and contact form on that site are defunct. https://codeparrots.com/support/

I don’t think it necessarily “suddenly” stopped working – someone just pointed it out to me. Was it part of the completely new GUI in 2021 I see in the changelog? I’m thinking I probably installed it before then and just never noticed until now.

I doubt I unchecked it, but I suppose I could have been mucking around and don’t remember! Glad it’s working now. Thanks for your help!

I went to the Exceptions tab and All Contents was already unchecked (and all items under it). So I guess that was the problem … I needed to choose something – or all – in order for it to work? If that’s the case, it seems confusing because I thought the very first checkbox on the first tab for External Links is telling it to apply the settings. I wouldn’t think I’d even need to go to the Exceptions page unless I want to to exclude something.
