  • Hi @macsgv,

I am sorry to hear that there are some problems with the shopping cart in Easy Digital Downloads and I hope that I can help get this fixed for you.

Have you tried manually deleting the cache folder located in /wp-content? Sometimes forcing the cache to rebuild itself that way can fix problems like the one you described.

You’re welcome @lavinya, I’m glad that worked for you!

Some other things you can try @lesca3dscan is manually deleting the cache folder located in /wp-content rather than using the tools in the GUI and changing the Page Cache Method in General Settings > Page Cache.

I hope that helps you restore your login functionality!

    Hi @macpheek,

Some plugins have their own setting that informs caching plugins to keep their information separate from the cache files, and it is possible the one you are using for your Twitter feed has this option.

To prevent your Twitter feed from being stale for 3 months you can also try the ‘Automatically prime the page cache’ option located under Cache Preload in the Page Cache settings. This tells your website to start rebuilding a selection of pages in the cache after a specified time interval and could help make sure a fresh version is always served to your user.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

Hi @stdennis, were you able to restore access to wp-admin using the steps @vmarko outlined?

One thing you can try is to enable Reverse Proxy and Minify in your General Settings, which should then allow you to edit the Debug settings for those items and get Debug mode deactivated entirely.

Hi @lesca3dscan and @lavinya, I am sorry to hear that you two are having trouble logging in after enabling the Page Cache.

If you are using the default plugin settings then you probably have the ‘Enable caching for wp-admin requests’ option activated in the Object Cache settings.

Try deactivating that option and then Save Settings & Purge Caches. Once that is configured you should be able to enable Page Caching.

If you continue to run into problems with the login page please let us know what settings you are using so we can figure out what might be causing this problem.

    Hi @kul86,

I am sorry to hear that your exchange rate information is not updating when caching is enable, I know how frustrating it can be when something doesn’t work as expected.

Which exchange rates plugin are you currently using on your website? Many plugins that display dynamic content have a setting that informs caching systems to exclude their information from the general cache, and it is possible that the one you are using has this configuration.

If the plugin does not have the ability to exclude itself from the cache, one potential solution is to exclude the pages that display the widget from the cache and ensure that the most recent data is always presented to your users.

Once we know what plugin you are using we can begin figuring out the settings you need to keep your information updated.

    Hi @lauraaffleck,

You can find the Debug configuration in the General Settings tab, located towards the bottom of that list. Uncheck any items that have Debug enabled next to them and Save you settings, or optionally Save and Purge all of your Caches.

I hope that this helps you get Debug mode deactivated on your site!

    Hi Megan,

I am sorry to hear that are some problems loading images in your Media Library and our team will do everything we can to help.

If you are still seeing the problem with images after deactivating all BoldGrid plugins and themes then it is possible that the problem is being caused by your WordPress core installation or the configuration of your web server.

I recommend running any available updates to your WordPress version and making sure that you are using PHP 7+ on your server.

I hope that those solutions fix the problem you are seeing and please let us know if there is anything else that we can do to help.
